I took my maternity pictures at the grove along with my husband and FOUR dogs! Nicole did not flinch and captured several shots of the six of us posed and staring right at the camera. She offered lots of directions and made my husband and I feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. A few months later, we met Jessica for my daughter's 6-month photoshoot. The day before the shoot I provided Nicole with a few Pinterest ideas I liked, which Jessica was able to replicate in about 4/5 poses in a 10-minute window. It was the right amount of time before the little one got fussy. In both instances we received the pictures about a day (maybe two?) after the shoot and were thrilled with the results both times. I will say that their website is VERY THOROUGH. Most questions you can have will be answered there, it's just a lot of reading. If you require a little bit of hand holding (which is totally ok!) or are a bit indecisive then this studio may not be the right fit for you. I think it's a better fit for someone that has a good idea of what they want... It's also worth noting that I felt comfortable with their COVID precautions-- both photographers wore masks and they add buffers between sessions.

I spent countless hours sifting through the vast amount of photography companies available on the web. I came upon Hazel Photographers on The Knot and took interest in their portfolio. Unlike many photography companies I contacted on the website, Hazel Photographers was responsive, professional, and available for my date. What stood out most about Hazel Photographers was the interaction. The 1st interview was over the phone and it went well; the 2nd interview was in person at their place of business where we got a chance to review their work which my husband and I were impressed with. BEFORE the wedding: They were always available when we called Quickly processed our contract and payments They were very friendly, professional, and made us feel at home Their portfolio was amazing They were very organized and gave us an idea of what the wedding day flow would be like They gave us recommendations when and where needed They are expensive (keep that in mind) DURING the wedding They were on time, took their job seriously, and very enthusiastic They were very professional and gave very good instruction when it came to posing AFTER the wedding, their entire demeanor changed It was hard to get a hold of them when we called Within a month we were told our pictures were ready and a link was provided to obtain our pictures...BUT THERE WAS A CATCH: The pictures were for purchase only. Why would I repurchase something I already paid for? o After spending such a hefty amount of money, they tried to impose that we share the link with our guests in order for them to purchase the pictures they liked. That was unacceptable, so we never shared that link with our guests. o Under the impression that I was going to receive digital copies of our wedding photos, I contacted Hazel Photographers after a week of not receiving the digital copies to inquire on what the next steps were, because I'm sure I didn't just pay for watermarked pictures I had to repurchase online. That's when I was told that they're going to mail us the digital copies on a disk, but the watermarks will not be removed. I found it hard to believe they wanted me to walk around with watermarked pictures of my own wedding. That's very tacky and insulting, for it implies that I didn't pay for the pictures or that I stole them. After expressing my concerns, their resolution was to crop out the watermark from over 800 pictures ourselves (which meant sometimes cropping out the bride and groom) or purchase the copyright of each picture at $90/each. Who would settle for this? o After three weeks of going back and forth trying to get in touch with Hazel herself, they finally agreed to provide us with unmarked photos of our wedding. o Before the wedding I had planned to do my wedding album with them, but after how we were treated, we no longer want anything to do with them. I paid for their service and their job was to simply provide that service. Instead, they tried to take advantage of us by trying to bleed more money out of us and our guests. Their way of doing business is completely unethical and insulting. *****They were wrong for trying to sell our own wedding back to us. *****They were wrong for not stating in their contract that we will be receiving watermarked pictures for their business marketing purposes. *****They were wrong for breaching their contract by announcing our wedding and advertising our wedding pictures through many social mediums 2 days after our wedding using our names without obtaining our permission. *****Before the wedding they were very responsive, after the wedding they quickly became unresponsive *****We were watching them post our pictures on-line everywhere, marketing their business, yet we (the customer) had no pictures to show. *****We were a small and intimate wedding, my husband and I knew nothing about planning a wedding and worked hard planning it, we worked even harder to pay for the wedding with no financial help from anyone, and Hazel Photographers took advantage of that when they realized we didn't know much about weddings. No customer should be treated like this. That's why I don't believe the reviews for Hazel Photographers to be trustworthy on account of how we were treated. Planning a wedding is stressful, what bride would like to go through this after their wedding? I don't recommend Hazel Photographers for any wedding.

We didn't have a large budget for our wedding, as a matter of fact, we weren't able to afford video, but we definitely wanted great photos, so we chose Hazel Photographers. Our wedding album is incredibly beautiful, we get complimented on it very often (coffee table hard cover with large spreads). Hazel, Alex, and staff were patient and very professional. Not a thing was missed, and the photos clearly highlight the amazing time that we had.
