This is a lovely spot, they have a really big menu, and they also have trivia on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Service is always fast, the food is always yummy, and the vibes are always relaxed. Great spot for a casual dinner!

We had good service, the food came out quickly and accurately. Our server was friendly and helpful. This isn't my favorite atmosphere but I don't love sport bars in general. It's bright and they do a great job of decorating the walls with a lot of local sports memorabilia. Our food was good. The firecracker shrimp and blackout burger were our favorites. The regular cheeseburger was fine but not fantastic. I like the variety of side options they have. Don't forget to add a side of French onion dip with your chips!

They had all the football games on on a sunday at noon which was nice for my group of vikings and packer fans. Service was quick and the waitstaff was friendly. The pineapple chunks on the al pastor tacos were huge which made it difficult to eat but it otherwise tasted fine. I would get the Monk's Tacos next time. My group got the sampler platter which had pretzel bites and sausage pieces with beer cheese. The beer cheese and pretzel bites were great but the sausage had a oddly soft consistency.

I'm throughly surprised at how good this place was. I came here on a Thursday night around 9pm to watch the rest of the Thursday Night Football game. The staff was super busy but was nice the few times we interacted. They made it a point to continue to check in on me even as they were passing by and dealing with much larger groups which made me feel good. I sat at a table near the bar. There's a few tables in the bar area plus the bar and then a larger dining room area in the back. You can also sit on the patio when it's open. It's well lit but won't blind you. There's tvs everywhere by the bar. There's a QR code and physical menus plus the special menu. Place was pretty clean. Bathrooms were in the back. I ordered two beers. I'm not a beer guy but I'm trying to like it. I had a golden stout. First time ever. And now I'm on the search for it. It was amazing. For food I ordered a burger and it was divine. It has all the fixings from brisket burnt ends with smoked bacon, white cheddar macaroni cheese, fried jalapeno caps, and chipotle BBQ sauce on a toasted charcoal bun. It was delicious. Cost about 16 dollars. And I substituted cheese curds for the fries at no additional cost which is nice. I'd go back for that burger easily. Solid place to kick it and have a chill lowkey night. There are specials each day which makes it an enticing place to go.

Potato chippers needed salt! Or dip. A Miller light and a bacon cheeseburger was great! Our server was on top of his game and we enjoyed the whole time we were there! My wife loved her pesto, chicken mac & cheese!

We stopped by Monk's on a Monday night just to grab a local beer and a little something to snack on -- and ended up staying for 2 hours! We ordered the cheese curds with marinara sauce, the deluxe nachos, and a couple of beers. Everything was absolutely delicious -- like, crazy good. We couldn't decide on which beer to get at first, so they brought us a flight of 3 local favorites to sample -- for free! That was such a nice touch. The staff was super friendly and helpful, giving great recommendations from the menu. It wasn't too crowded since it was a Monday, with most people hanging out at the bar. There were TVs playing sports, and the vibe was casual, fun, and bright -- really cool decor too. Our total bill (with tip) came to just $53 for two people, which felt like a steal for the quality and experience. Definitely recommend this place!

This is a local sports bar. Clean. Besides a bar area, there is plenty of seating for large and small groups. Plenty of booths; I like sitting in a booth. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and on point with delivering our food. The cheese curds were very good, not overfried or too breaded. The Alamo burger had everything I wanted in a burger. It was perfectly cooked. It was dripping with flavor. It was loaded with sautéed onions, bacon, and the mozzarella pads. It will definitely fill you up. I will have to come back here for more food and especially during a sports event.

We stopped in for a late lunch. Server (Matt) was also bartending. He was very friendly and accommodating to our group of six. Portions are large and food was delicious. Excellent cheese curds, fried pickles, chili cauliflower, boom boom shrimp and burger! Definitely recommend!

American food done good. Many tvs ensured you didn't miss a play. Service was just good enough. Clean restaurant.

Stopped by Monks Middleton and noticed burger of month is a special version of their Gouda Burger. It was delicious! Get in before months end and try this one.

I finally tried curds. And... they were so good. Great spot to stop for lunch. It was quiet and the service was okay.

Cold beer, good jerk wings, friendly bartender. Great bang for the buck and food came out fast. Would go again.

Excellent burger and fries. I would go back again. It seems to be popular in Wisconsin. I tried the Onion rings and they were mediocre.

Our food arrived promptly. Even though being 'bar food' it was well prepared. The onion rings were crunchy and not rubbery or stringy. Really good rings. 'Chicken Lips' are basically chicken strips. I got them charred w BBQ sauce. Very good! I would get them that way again. The curds were crunchy chewy and not over-battered. My party was pleased with the other meals as well. Definitely a go-to bar for sports events. Warning: the kitchen closes at 9pm.

The language that was used at a very loud tone was awful! Server got order wrong, was annoyed we didn't take the wrong order. The server never checked in with us and we had to find her. Asked for something and was told kitchen was closed. Talked to manager/bartender about what happened somewhat took care of the problem. Then server wanted payment, so she could go home. I had taken 2 bites of sandwich and was told we had to pay up! We asked can't the manager close out the bill. At that point dinner was wrecked, asked for boxes. Couldn't even say if the food was good. From that point on we were ignored! We paid and she proceeded to sit at the bar. Server complained to us about hours she had to work, if she doesn't like it move on! We felt extremely uncomfortable and unwanted, they locked the doors behind us. The kitchen said open till 10pm, we walked out before 9:30pm. Manager blamed Google on posting the wrong hours, what happened to posting hours on the door????Absolutely ruined a nice meal with my wife. Very disappointing! Server is still sitting at the bar.

This is my go-to spot. I've probably been here 10 times by now. It's known as THE birthday restaurant, and for good reason. WE LOVE FREE. Not your birthday? Their weekday happy hour from 3 to 5:30 PM gets you half off beers and appetizers. Imagine getting a pint for $4. Service is quick. While The Nitty Gritty is famous for birthday celebrations, don't think you need a birthday as an excuse to visit! My mom was craving a good burger last week, and their signature Gritty Burger, topped with that famous Gritty Sauce, is one of my favorites. Upgrade your meal with a side of cheese curds, and you've got the ultimate Wisconsin comfort food! We were looking for a sit-down lunch with prompt service, and The Nitty Gritty delivered. The bartender was attentive and picked up on our signal when we were ready for the check, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal without a long wait. Overall, a great spot for a casual lunch, a tasty burger and friendly, efficient service. Birthday or not, it's worth a visit!
