A reviews seems totally silly because I'm sure word of mouth does all the work for this place. If you're in Brussels and you want good beer - go to monk. The prices are absurdly low, the quality is phenomenal, the ambience is great, service is wonderful etc. etc. You can pop next door to their restaurant for dinner - we didn't so I cannot attest to their food. Although apparently they make an excellent spaghetti bolognese. Also yay- free wifi! Absolutely check this place out! Note - this is for Belgian beer - if you want regular Americanized beer lol why are you in Brussels?

Really fun place, friendly staff and great pasta! Large portions too, the maxi was enough for two.

Imagine an old irish bar, then make the servings belgian beer and pasta bolognese and put it in a nice artsy area of brussels.

They've got so many offerings, quaint decor on every floor, various places to sit, including a rooftop. It's definitely a touristy thing to do but with over 2,000 beers to choose from, who cares? I loved every minute of it. It's crazy busy at times especially when live music events are taking place. We shared a Yard Stick which were multiple beers (smaller taster sizes). See my pics for exactly how many. Service was exceptional.

They're known for having one of the biggest beer selections in the world, and you can literally spend hours just reading the menu. We ordered their famous beer flight that comes with 10 different types of beers. Each one was completely unique, different flavors, colors, and strengths. It was such a fun way to try a variety without committing to just one. Some were light and refreshing, others were strong and bold. I loved that every glass felt like a new experience. The service was great! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have a photobooth inside, which was such a fun surprise. Perfect spot to make memories with friends. If you're in Brussels and want the full Belgian beer experience, this spot is a must-visit. So worth it!

The service was great, they take credit cards with chips, and the selection/prices were unbeatable. The interior is cozy and classic, with a large buffalo head perched above the bar. While bar service is only downstairs on slow nights, I highly recommend sitting upstairs where there are several small tables with benches hanging from the wall. The tables overlook the bar area below. Contrary to a previous review, while the music and atmosphere can become loud on the weekends, we never had an issue hearing each other in conversation. They played great music throughout the night. Overall, cafe Bizon is highly highly recommended as one of my favorite bars visited throughout my travels. Great beer, great prices, great people, great music, great interior, and overall great time.
