A little over a year ago I spent about 20 minutes in this cute little shop and bought a few items. I was in town visiting old friends.
I live in a large city, so I don't tend to have the best memory of the names and faces of store owners where I shop. Especially when it's just once.
I thought this place was really nice and liked the clothing and accessories (hence me making purchases). I do have a vague memory of the woman in the store. She brought me a pair of shoes in my size once and I of course thanked her at the register and complimented her shop as I paid a pretty large sum for my items. I am known for being very kind to local businesses, cashiers, waiters, etc.
As odd as it sounds. Over a year later, a few of my friends that live in the area told me that "Moni" was telling people how much she hated me. I had to ask who that was. Kinda shocked me. An entire year after a nice experience in her store and spending money in it, the owner is telling people she hates me.
It's pI live in a large city and can't imagine someone remembering a one time customer by name after a year. Especially one that didn't cause conflict.
What a truly tacky person. Don't even bother going in this place. It seems that no one is good enough for Moni. Still can't figure out if it was the money I spent or the Thank you so much that I said to her that made her trash talk me to a small town 1500 miles away from me. But either way. She can take her shoes and blue jeans and shove them up next to the stick.
