The craftsmanship really exceeded my expectations, and the finished ring came out exactly how I had hoped. The customer service throughout the entire process was excellent. Thrift on 16th is a treasure hunt type of store. They have furniture, housewares, craft items,…read morejewelry, clothing, books, and all the usual things you will find in a thrift store. What might set them apart is the quality of the items they sell. Everything I saw was well-cared for. It's not a junk store but because of the number of things they have here, it can look junky. I'm sure there's a method to how the store is laid out, but some sections blur the lines and that means you really will be on a treasure hunt. It doesn't matter though because it's a fun store to browse. It's cash-only business, so that helps keep costs under control, but does require planning if your preference is using plastic to buy. The employees are very nice and will give you tidbits of information or background on some of the things you purchase.

He said the moccasins I was ready to purchase were from the local area however a tag inside the moccasins said "Yakama Mocs" on the inside of one of them. They came from the Yakima Tribe so they're not authentic to Montana at all. Look at your pieces very carefully. Another piece said from "Katie's Antique Mall" so you're not buying pieces authentic to Montana Native tribes at all. Yet the owner is pricing these pieces like he knows exactly where they came from. There is a hodgepodge from all different places and not necessarily for Montana so in my opinion, it's a crapshoot! Also, the place looks very run down on the outside and looks like it's been closed up for several months The gate stays closed even during business hours. You have to call the owner and he'll tell you to go ahead and open up the gate and he'll meet you at the shop. That's how it is here.
