Amanda made the process so easy to understand and guided us in the right direction. She gave insights on improvements that the house needed to help sell it faster. She also went above and beyond to help set up the property before showings, let in inspectors/contractors and double check the work since we were out of state. Communication is key. My fiancé and I are being wronged by THIS property management company who failed to inspect and…read moreproperly manage the house prior to our renting. We signed the lease agreement and discovered the house was not what it seemed: The first night we were supposed to move in we could not because the previous renter's cat was stuck in the wall. The second night we discovered that the house was infested by bed bugs. The third night we found cock roaches. The fourth night the water was shut off (they did not mention who to call or what needed to be done to get the water put in our names, we assumed that it had already been switched to our names as this was day four. Perhaps that was a naïve assumption?). They have agreed to allow us out of the lease and return our deposit and first months rent, but we feel we are due damages. We now have to throw away potentially infested personal items, including furniture, and hope and pray that we do not spread the bugs to our family and friends. This past week has been absolute torture! With our wedding 8 days away (September 15th), we did not need the added stresses (and the unnecessary rudeness of it's president, Susan Magee) that the Magee Group LLC has caused us and would like things to be made right. We have been told "everyone is losing money on this", so we are up the river without even so much as a log to float with. My suggestion? STAY AWAY from this company!!!!!
