I tried to cash a check, was told an account was required and ''Account History" was required to cash checks greater than 200 bucks, The website said nothing about this, basically treated me as if I had no business there saying the full amount of the check was too much for them to trust on a first time. Bit miffed on the false advertising as nothing states you need an account nor there are "New Customer" Limits. Only thing they did was tell me places that would do the job. read more

I find the review below mine hard to believe, from my experience every one of the employees at this money tree are professional and polite. Lynette especially, I have cashed a lot of checks at various money tree locations and very recently she helped me cash a very large settlement check that requires a lot more verification and has much more of a procedure to follow. She was very efficient and knows exactly what she is doing. I was honestly surprised at how awesome she was at making sure I was aware of how everything was going work out in terms of numbers and expected wait times for releasing that much money. I was very comfortable with her and will definitely come back again and again for any services that money tree provides that I might need. read more

I was really afraid 2 go to Money Tree, afraid that I would get sucked into something I couldn't get out of. But these guys were great! The 38th Street location in Tacoma did not look like your general everyday cash your hot check dive. The staff was courteous and professional, yet made me feel comfortable. i had a fantastic experience here today. i never in my life have had to borrow money in this way, but with the holidays coming up and some vet bills, i really needed $150 to make ends meet with my other bills this month. it felt so embarrassing..... but they are so kind, professional and efficient here! i forget the woman's name who helped me today but i think she's Hispanic and maybe around 45-55 years old - so nice, kind, professional and made my experience here fantastic. so happy to have quickly gotten $150 in cash to have through Dec 21.... it really helps and it's worth the 15% fee. thanks Moneytree! read more
