The location is convenient and generally there are enough people around so that it doesn't feel scary and deserted. Guide books tell you not to use ATMs on the street because hey can be tampered with, so sticking with banks seems like the prudent thing to do, and the fee here was very reasonable. Of course, ideally one's bank will reimburse one, but even so, I don't see the need to support exorbitant and extortionate fees.
