Should have been weary about this place when the most recent reviews are over 2 years old…read more.. Significant other and I came here to eat around 10pm on a Tuesday. We had already done some day drinking earlier and were not looking to continue pushing our livers to the limit. I ordered the fried calamari which was, and this no hyperbole, the worst I've ever had. It was like they fried a styrofoam cup. That calamari is the food equivalent of a "fuck you."My boyfriend ordered the philly cheese steak and that was just as poorly cooked. I took one bite and my immediate thought was "UGH WTF." The meat tasted old and flavorless. The bread fell apart. I declined to eat anymore, while my boyfriend went for it. He is still alive as I write this but I fear for him tomorrow morning... The service was awful, the server didn't offer even an apology for the calamari when I told him we didn't like it. They didn't check on us at all. The only pleasant aspect about this spot was the music. They had a legit playlist of indie/alternative jams (Vampire Weekend, the Killers, etc ) Don't know if Bar Rescue has plans to expand to Guadalajara, but if so this place desperately could use Jon Taffer's magic touch. No volveria jamas!

I highly recommend this restaurant…read more My wife and I started with a large bowl of cream of asparagus soup, which we shared. Bread was served with a wide selection of spreads. My wife had Jager schnitzel and I had wiener schnitzel. Both were perfect. The sides were also very good. In addition, we asked for spaztle and it was also very good. Although my wife was too full to finish her wiener schnitzel, she found room for apple strudel! It was also very good. The service was very good. We asked for lemon wedges and they were promptly delivered. Nothing was a problem for our waitress. We had asked the manager on Sunday when the restaurant would not be crowded. He suggested Tuesday, so that's when we went there. We were completely alone in the back garden, so our risk of getting a covid-19 infection was minimized. The bill came to 480 pesos including 34 for a Coca Cola. I would say that is neither cheap nor expensive-

The spatzle was amazing, soft and tender. Sauerkraut as well as the red cabbage were spot on. Loved the baguette bread basket, the delicious fruity butter, as well as German mustard's, which we really enjoyed.
