I visit Monarch about once a year to do plaques for work. They are very professional and their work is top notch. Ordering is easy and can be done via email and they give you a couple of proofs before proceeding. I had an issue with one of my print jobs and they immediately fixed it since I had the proof and it wasn't done like the proof that I approved. They have the most beautiful trophies, plaques and gifts for anniversaries, weddings, sporting events and everything in between. I love to browse while I wait to see what cool things they have. I would take your business elsewhere. Ever since Ruth left the sales department the whole business has gone down hill. Half the time the spelling is wrong and they have to redo the plates while you sit there and wait on average of about 30 mins depending on how many plates they messed up on. Absolutely zero communication. Send a email and 5 business days later no response. You call and they either hang up, or put you on hold to where you hang up because the wait is over 15-20 mins. I've been coming here since 2020, and every order I say this is the last time I'm coming. This is it though. I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Prior to requesting their services, I suggest you conduct research or obtain quotes from multiple providers. I stopped for a quote and was shocked by the fees. For every simple, standard detail I requested, they added a $25 fee. It appears they have little competition and are able to get away with this. I cannot imagine the fees they would charge if you need a quick turnaround. Exercise caution! read more

Amazing customer service! I called for help to have a crystal award with engraving made for a VIP client - with a next day turnaround. Rochelle took my call and was extremely helpful with looking up what items were in stock based on what I was looking for (higher end items). She sent me pictures or would direct me where to view the items on their website. She was able to get a proof sent over right away and we had the order ready in 24 hours for a courier to pick up. Every year after Gunnery (I'm in the National Guard) I make a gift for the person I pulled triggers with. I get 30mm shells engraved with our names and date. I used to go to Things Remembered, but last year they made a huge fuss at me for getting empty shells engraved. So I had to look for a new place. I researched some local trophy stores in the area and this one seemed the most promising. I walked in and it is a huge showroom that has displays of all kinds of trophies and awards. They have everything from sports to work awards to plaques and gifts. It is very impressive. One of the women who works there asked me if I needed any help so I explained why I was there and showed her the shells. She thought it was definitely doable - they are about the size of a double shot glass. However she needed to talk to the man who uses the engraving machine and he was at lunch. I asked if I could wait for him. 5 minutes later he comes in and she shows him the shells. He immediately says he can do that! I was so happy. I wrote down what I want engraved and they changed me a reasonable price for something uncommon. It would take them a couple of days to finish, but it was definitely worth it! I was very happy with the end result and I will definitely come back here. I already recommended this place to the people in my unit who had asked me in the past where they could get the same thing done. I recommend this place. They are friendly and they definitely work with you to get the results you want. I was happy to have found my new go to place for years to come! read more

We had a rush order to get 14 recognition awards made and other places we had looked at told us there was no way they could get them done in the time needed. I contacted Monarch Trophy and they responded back quickly and said that they could definitely get them not just done by the date we requested, but a day before!! When I went to pick them up, I looked at one of the awards and it was AWESOME! I counted to make sure we had 14 and went back to my office. The next day, which was the day we were to be handing out the awards, I was organizing them and realized we were missing two and had two duplicates. I immediately called Monarch and they jumped in to motion!! Within 45 minutes, the two missing awards were complete!!! I will definitely be coming back for all our award needs!! I received last minute notice of a retirement ceremony I was requested to attend. I called numerous trophy shops around Houston and all advised that they could not create a retirement plaque without at least one days notice. I spoke to Marissa at Monarch, who was friendly and professional and she advised that they could get that done for me and in fact it was ready in three hours. Thank you for helping make me look good. I brought an existing award plaque with small name plates for awardees with the intent of having four new names engraved, and to look at available framed certificates. The engraving charge was not unreasonable, but when she said there would be an additional charge to remount each name plate (two small phillips screws), I calmly explained that such a charge, even 25 cents would be a ridiculous one. Before moving on to complete the electronic entry of the order, she mentioned it would be well more than that (25 cents). Shortly after that interchange, she asked again about the re-mounting and I again calmly explained that any charge for that is ludicrous and i asked her if she perhaps does not understand sarcasm? And that 5 cents would be inappropriate. She assured me she did understand sarcasm, but then when she completed entering all the information for the order (we had not even gotten to the point of what those four individual names would be), I noticed that the total included the re-mounting charges for the four name plates ($2,50 each I believe). At that point, I tried very hard to explain this to her once again; she looked confused but peeved, and when I suggested that I may be in the wrong place and should consider taking my business elsewhere, she essentially said go right ahead (what actually came out of her mouth was "well, that is your choice"). So I have done just that; congratulations Monarch. Nice business model - include absurd nickel & dime charges, persist in opposing and then pissing your customers off, and then welcome them to go elsewhere to your competition! That experience was as objectionable as it was unbelievable; good riddance - hope your business gets its just award (failure). read more
