They weren't doing a good job of sweeping the track... in fact I don't think the truck went out to sweep all weekend. There was a lot of rubber on the track off line which was a little annoying. The park is in an idyllic location, with gorgeous, hilly scenery as the back drop to the track. The race we attended was such a fun way to spend an afternoon with family. You seemed to be able to bring your own picnics, which makes sense because there is camping there also. There were also plenty of food trucks and vendors, beer tents, etc. and of course lots of cool race cars to look at. Pit row was open for fans to walk around and get close up, which was very cool. My 6 year old son was able to get a racer's autograph on his hat, and he thought that was pretty cool. The event staff seemed pretty lax, friendly, and helpful. We were with my parents, who especially appreciated the golf cart ride to the track from the parking area and back. Great experience and looking forward to returning.

Got to use their car which was nice! Could have even used one of their helmets but I had my own. Felt safe the entire time! Left with a new found confidence in my driving skills. Most fun Ive ever had driving! We've come here for other events in the past and always enjoy ourselves. Very cool tracks and can hear cars for miles! Being ear protection!

Noise canceling headphones might also be a good idea, too, since it gets really loud especially during the main event. I remembered to wear the sunglasses. Hundreds turned out on a nice, sunny Saturday. The gates open at 5pm and the racing --mostly qualifiers-- start at 6pm. There were a number of different types of cars competing for top prizes around an oval track. The main even was at about 8pm and it was all over by about 9pm. There were even some fireworks. I had to try the "award-winning" shoestring fries even thought I knew my waistline would regret it later. I don't know what award the fries won but they keep promoting it that way over the public address system. They were quite brown with skins on. The long ones were soggy but the short fries were crispy. The boiled hot dogs were tasty. The prices were inexpensive. The concession area could use an upgrade but the food seemed popular. Of course, plenty of fried dough, kielbasa and meatball sandwiches were also being sold but they were just too rich for me to handle. The price of general admission is about $15. I won two free admission tickets in a benefit raffle off premises. It was fun. By the time I left, I was covered in dirt and dust but it comes with the territory. So I went home to wash up.

Get right up by the start/finish line and you can meet the drivers after the races as well. Qualifying races are 10 laps and the main events are 25.... you'll get to see 10-15 races so for the $15 entry ticket that's a steal ($1/race). There's a beer tent where you can watch the race between turn 3 and 4. Perfect event for the kids as well. In addition to the racing there's a playground when they need a break from the left turns as well. Concessions are reasonably priced.
