Really great dirt racetrack with solid affordable food choices. They have a good selection of dirt…read moretrack racing that travels thru, and a yearly monster truck rally jam. Highly recommended to go to West Lebanon. The forest is awesome.

It's a great old-school race track, and fwiw on the third or fourth tier of racing events, it's fun…read morethat this place is still thriving. The high banks and mix of paved and dirt surfaces are hard to find in new race tracks. If it was just the track, with a modernized facility, I'd be five-starring this. But as far as the venue goes, this place is a disaster. It just hasn't been updated at all since about 1954, from the bathrooms to the stands to the safety features. I'm just going to list my complaints here by way of consumer warnings (after two events, we're done coming back) - The stands are rickety as hell, old wood that bounce up and down. That they haven't collapsed yet maybe means they won't, but the engineer in me suspects they may be one harmonic event (say, everybody getting up and stomping at the same time) away from problems. Even if we grant they're structurally sound, the stands are uncomfortable, tiny for crowded events, and seem to exist so the management can hawk seat-back rental. - I seriously worry about the safety barriers. On the one hand, the stands are as close to the track as you can get in racing, which is a thrill. But it's a cable and wire system, and only about 30 feet high or so. This looks like a recipe for a '55 Le Mans-style disaster coming off the curve, with just the wrong collision. - Concessions are grotesque. First off, the system is insanity. They don't have concession stands where you can line up and order off a menu. You have to line up for a particular single item (fries in one place; hamburgers in another; etc.) Then they will only take $1 bills (there's a "change stand" you can visit first) at each stand. So if you want, say, a burger, fries, and a drink, and you don't have $20 in ones, that's four lines to stand in! The facilities also look dungeon-like, and I'm amazed the health department passes the place (does it?) So it's not going to come as a surprise that the food is disgusting, the lowest of low-end ballpark food. Since there's no outside food allowed -- and they don't even let you bring in a backpack, or even a diaper bag! -- and no water fountains, you can either eat ahead of time and hope you don't get thirsty or you're stuck with food-line-hell. - Bathrooms. I'm not even gonna. - The non-smoking areas aren't enforced at all. Management knows where its bread and butter lies, and that's with the tobacco users. - there's no traffic control, and since all the parking is across the street, it's hit or miss as far as pedestrian safety. If you stay to the end of the event, count on an hour or two to get out. - speaking of lack of control, saving the worst for last: we bugged out a little early of the most recent event we were at, because the kids had to be up early, and going through the parking lot was like going through Central Park at night in the 1980's. Open drug use (including syringe drugs), at least one act of open sexual congress, people shooting off fireworks right next to propane tanks and over 1000 cars. There's no race event that's going to bring me back here with the family.
