I am a 66-year-old woman who was suffering numerous maladies including indigestion (reflux,…read moreheartburn, stomach pain) and painful joints as well as a series of infections including double pneumonia and UTIs. What prompted me to seek professional help though, was a seizure which scared me more than any of the other symptoms. I had consulted with numerous doctors and specialists who, after many office visits and tests, provided temporary symptomatic relief but gave no answers or explanation for why I was having so many problems. My energy level was lagging and despite my age, my quality of life had declined severely over the previous 3 years. A friend had prompted me to make an appointment with Dr. Cora Rivard who had helped her considerably with a variety of problems she was experiencing. I had been taking Prilosec (omeprazole) for several years for my issues with indigestion. One of the first things Dr. Rivard addressed was the vitamin deficiencies I was experiencing due to long term use of that medication. As I suspected, many of these health issues were related and nutrition deficiencies were to blame. I cut back on the dosage of Prilosec and began a regimen of supplementation which brought my body back to the health I had enjoyed previously. Reflux, heartburn, and stomach pain went away. Joint pain virtually disappeared and infections are now a thing of the past. Dr. Rivard has worked with me to regain my health and encouraged me to become an important part of my own recovery. I recommend her and the approach she offers to anyone who is concerned about their health and well being.

At age 54, after years of intermittent problems and alternative treatments, I feel that I finally understand what I need to do to take care of myself. When I first turned to Dr. Eisenheim, my primary complaint was that I'd been experiencing morning exhaustion for a long time. It was difficult to start the day, day after day, with no desire whatsoever to get out of bed. Was I depressed? Was I just getting old? Was this what it was going to be like from now on? Another, lifelong, problem was food cravings that kept my weight a little higher than I felt comfortable with. The problem was far worse when I was younger, so I tried to be grateful that it had become much more manageable and just deal with it. Dr. Eisenheim determined that, among other things, I was suffering from moderate adrenal exhaustion. I'd experienced it twice before, and here I was again! She put me on a program that got my adrenals back in shape. I even held up well as we headed into the dark months of late fall -- a time when I traditionally crash. I feel like myself again. More than previous practitioners, Dr. Eisenheim helped me understand my vulnerability to adrenal problems and how to avoid future crashes. Because I really get it now, I feel confident that I can plan and do the self-care I need. As for the food cravings, some concerns about inflammation prompted Dr. Eisenheim to recommend the "TQI" (To Quiet Inflammation) book/eating plan. Now, I've been focused on healthful food all my life. But committing to the TQI regimen for several weeks brought me solidly back to basics long enough to remind me that my body demands a narrow path, food-wise -- and that it's so worth it. The chronic cravings virtually disappeared. I have little desire for foods that put me off-balance. This is huge. And I find myself gradually losing weight despite eating five times a day. I feel really good about where I am now, and optimistic about the future. I would definitely go back to Dr. Eisenheim ... but I don't think I'll need to!

She knows her stuff and after my first appointment with her, I knew I had made the right choice. It's hard enough going through Lyme Disease along with the Co-Infections... I mean REALLY hard, but knowing I was supported by Dr. Greenspan all the way through this awful disease was one less worry I had to deal with. Support means everything when you are going through what feels like hell when tackling this disease. She is the BEST!!! I was pretty sick when I first saw her. I had been to so many doctors prior to seeing Dr. Greenspan that I thought that I was losing my mind. How can a person go through this hell inside there body, and have doctor after doctor tell you, you have nothing wrong with you and that you should go see a mental health expert. Yes, an Infectious Disease doctor at Lahey Clinic told me this. I will never ever forget this. Treatment is hard and rough when going through this disease for sure, but anything that invades your body undiagnosed for so many years (over 30 + years) takes time because of all the damage it creates to our body over the years. I have been in remission from Lyme Disease and their nasty co-infections for almost 2 years now (January 2023 will be 2 years) and I have Dr. Greenspan to thank for this. Without her help, support and advice of treatments to help me through I would not be where I am today!! Know you are in good hands when you walk through her doors. Her staff is knowledgeable, extremely helpful, respectful, fun, and so very kind. When you are greeted with a smile it makes your day.

Lastly we had discussed in my second appt. that he would help me with FMLA paperwork if I was not feeling better by our third appt. I reluctantly went to the third because of the cost and I had not made any progress since the second in the hopes he would keep his word, which at the end of the third he said he could not be "burdened by the paperwork" and to ask my PCP. During this appointment I was informed that I was not taking the correct amount of multivitamins he prescribed which was the sole reason I was not recovering and the other 11 prescribed supplements were ineffective without the multi vitamins. He looked me strait in the face and told me "You just don't want to get better", because I was not taking the correct amount of vitamins, regardless of the thousands of dollars spent on testing and treatment with him I clearly just did not want to get better. I've heard at one time he prescribed adequate care but he has fallen short of his ability as a provider. Don't waste your time, money, or effort here. He should not be trusted with anyone's health.
