The shop is very well organized, toys are well kept and wrapped nicely together, and there were a lot of luxury brand clothing, gently used. They coin themselves they are West Hartford's finest children's consignment shop. The pricing was fair for most items (toys, decor, etc), but clothing seemed a bit high. They do have a rewards/loyalty program which I signed up for--I got 10% off my first purchase AND $5 off. Also, if you are local or close by they have 10% off Tuesdays. The young ladies that rang us up were very nice. I'd likely visit again since the shop is very clean. A lot of second hand children shops are cluttered, disorganized, and have a strange smell. I do love Max & Lily's Closet's mission to go green and reuse.

Everything has decent prices and the store does great sales often. All the clothing is nicely organized from baby, girls, and boys. The selection can be overwhelming that there is so much. Most items are gently used, excellent condition, and some still have prices tags. My recent trip I went in with a plan and found a few pieces that I currently can't find at other stores new because they were out of season. While most of the store is very organized, the toy section is a mess that I don't bother picking through. A lot of the larger toys can be found above the clothing. The staff were really friendly and I signed up for their rewards program. Overall, Once Upon A Child is great, but I'd like to note that whatever cleaner they use is very strong that I have minor allergic reactions (feeling itchy, scratchy throat, etc,). I can only shop for so long and symptoms disappear after I leave the store. I've wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

The items are the same quality as the regular store, but at a much lower cost. A brand new J. Crew Factory store just opened last week in West Hartford's Corbin's Corner. The store has a great layout, and plenty of great summer pieces, for men, women and children. Most of the store is currently on sale for 40 - 50% off. Since this store is brand new, the exterior is still under construction, but It's what's on the inside that matters. The sales associates are friendly and answered all my questions. I've already been here twice since they opened last week. I'm glad to have a factory store nearby now. It's a good idea to come in frequently as new stock comes in often.

I was elated to find several matching shirts for them to wear over the summer, which I look forward to seeing them in together. When we went up to the register, the young lady behind the counter (Lauren A) was patient as we troubleshooted which email my J.Crew account was linked to. We ended up sharing some small talk about my husband and I being educators and she was very sweet in engaging about our jobs, summer break, and which grade levels we worked with. She was so positive and genuinely happy/helpful. This wasn't exclusive just to us either. We overheard similar interactions with her and other customers in line before we approached. She was just a kind person, who seemed dedicated to her job. We will definitely return!

The staff who work here are always ready to help find you the right size and guide you to find what you might be looking for. There is no pushiness to make a purchase. The baby section is adorable for a special gift for someone, but some of those items are a bit costly. I love stopping by this store. It's beautifully set up, organized and easy to navigate. The Meriden Mall is a solid mall. It's not the biggest or fanciest mall, but it's nice…read more A number of retailers here have closed such as the Best Buy, Sears and Macy's. However, they still have a couple of anchors left including Dick's Sporting Goods and Boscov's. Other large locations include the TJ Maxx and the Middlesex County Library. They're opening a Yale Health Clinic here soon, too. Other smaller stores of interest to me were Champ's Sports, FootLocker and Ramani's Clothier. There are some options in the food court, but not a ton. Only two places, Charley's Steaks and Tokyo Express were open when I visited. There's a Ruby Tuesday's and Cajun Restaurant near here, too. The mall is clean, which is nice. Easy to navigate, too. Altogether, Meriden Mall isn't the best mall, but it's nice and has some good stores.
