This service is OK, but I think, based on my experience, that they're a little, I don't want to say dishonest, because they're really upfront about their pricing. But the way it was implemented seems a little suspect I guess. They came to my condo which is under 1000 ft.², two bedroom two bath, and asked what rooms I would want cleaned. I opted only to have one of the bedrooms cleaned because the other one is a spare room and I never go in there and it never gets dirty as far as I'm concerned. Even my cats don't go in there. They said the charge would be $125 per hour for the first cleaning. If they were there for two hours then it would be $250 plus tax. So I'm fine with that because I figure it will take around an hour. They said that the second cleaning would just be $125 plus tax the entire time that they were there so if it took two hours the second time it would just be $125 plus tax. The first time they came to clean it took over an hour. And I was OK with that, because we didn't go over one hour by much. The dirtiest areas, obviously are going to be the bathrooms and the kitchen. So I expected they would spend more time in my kitchen and my bathrooms, and then there was vacuuming the rooms that I wanted vacuumed, and some mopping. So the first time they came it was around $162. No big deal. The second time they came they did all of the same areas in 45 minutes. It was second time they came, and they knew the layout a little better, which honestly is not confusing, but it's all stuff they've done before, and it was the same women as the first time. I just feel like the second time they came when they knew they weren't getting paid by the hour, but only for the job, they finished faster so they could maximize their income. And I don't blame them. Who doesn't want to maximize their income, right? But I honestly feel like they could've done all of that in 45 minutes in the first visit. It just seems crazy that when they're not charging by the hour, and only charging by the job, they work as fast as they can which can lead to missing some things, or not being as detailed. I also noticed that one of the women used Comet in my biscuit (yes, that's a color) sink. I had previously told the people who came for the estimate that I didn't want any kind of scouring cleaner used in my sink, but then they did it anyway. I never use an abrasive when I clean my sink, because I don't want it scratched or to become discolored. I discontinued the schedule they had me on, which was every four weeks, because I had some other financial issues that I had to take care of and having to spend $125 plus tax every four weeks would limit my ability to take care of my other financial issues. But knowing that they can clean my house in 45 minutes, I don't feel like I need to stay on a schedule. They said initially that if I did not stick to a schedule that I would have to pay $125 per hour each time they came. This is because they try to get you on a cleaning schedule. You can do every week, every two weeks, or every three weeks, or every four weeks. But the maximum amount of time you can go between cleanings would be four weeks, and if you went any longer than that, then that would not be a schedule that they could accommodate, and then each cleaning at five weeks or longer intervals, would be $125 per hour. Whereas if you were on a cleaning schedule then the second and subsequent cleanings would be $125 per job (not per hour). I hope that makes sense. Anyway, it doesn't make sense to stay on a schedule if they can clean my house in 45 minutes. But if I had a larger house where the cleaning regularly took two hours and they were really consistent about that, then obviously I would stay on the schedule because I would not want to pay $250 every time they came. Of course I would want to pay only $125 per job. But since I have a small place and they have shown me that it does not take even a full hour, I just figure I will call them for occasional cleanings, as long as they don't use a scouring powder in my off-white sink. The women who came were friendly and listened to what I had to say. They were very nice women. I don't have any complaints about them per se, except for the Comet, but that's probably a communication issue between the administration and their workers. read more

I was so disappointed in their service. My tenants had used them and I thought the house looked wonderful at the time. However, I just had them re-clean the empty house and was charged for 2.5 hours and did not even get the master bedroom vacuumed or the floor thoroughly cleaned in the master bathroom. They resent the crew to go back and rectify but I felt way overcharged for the poor quality I had received. read more

I'm so glad I'm done spending $180 every 2 weeks to just come home and clean my house anyway! No seriously, a few months ago I canceled my services with Molly Maids after nearly a year. The first time I voiced my concerns (about my house still being dirty and that crew slinging what smelled like Pine-Sol around to make it smell clean), I actually felt bad because they are so nice. They know how to make it sound like they care, so I gave them another chance. They sent in their one team that actually cleans very well. I loved THAT team, then once they sensed they earned my trust back they sent me a new team every other week. I noticed a few slip ups here and there, but we are all human and I know I am peculiar. However, what I cannot stand is dishonesty and just not caring about what I'm paying you to do. The last straw for me was that they literally poured out a brand new bottle of Mrs. Meyers cleaning spray I just bought TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY DID SOMETHING. My house was still dirty though. They just sprayed it around for fragrance and then poured out a brand new 16oz bottle and left it on my counter (notice a trend??). My counters were dirty, still had a coffee stain from this morning there, my bathroom floor was sticky, I could go on and on. Don't even waste your time with them. They have maybe one or two good cleaning crews, the rest just sit around and hope you're stupid enough like me to let them keep coming back to your house. read more

The second one, even better. They are torough and extremely efficient. They get the job done well in a short amount of time. Hired them to clean our house for a home sale. Requested that the oven, refrigerator, and under the couches and furniture be cleaned, and none of that was done. Requested that the shades be cleaned and they were sloppily cleaned. Even the floors are still dirty! I am so upset right now because my house is supposed to be shown tomorrow so I will have to get up at some crazy early time to clean my house before it is shown. Do NOT hire this company!!! If your idea of a cleaning service is someone coming in for 1.5 hours, and only partially wiping down the flat surfaces in your home, then this cleaning service MIGHT be for you! Every single time we've had Molly Maid clean our house, there has been food stuck to the stove top, and smears across all our appliances, and quite a few other areas that were not cleaned. They absolutely do not provide a good clean. My fiancé has vocalized our concerns MULTIPLE times, and not once have the issues actually been fixed. In fact, they have a "24 hour satisfaction guarantee," and we have called to voice concerns over unclean areas in our home. Even after the maids came back to clean the day after I complained, the areas of concern STILL weren't clean. I am baffled. It is absolutely unacceptable that a cleaning service do such a poor job. You would be wise to spend your money with another company. read more

I had schedule a cleaning with Molly maids and the time was set the day before between 12pm - 2pm. I not only took time off my busy work schedule to be present at the home, I work from home from 1p-9:30p. I took off work and put my pets with a pet sitter for this cleaning from 2p-6p. When 2pm rolled around with no call or update. I call Molly maids office only to find out they change my time to 4pm. Not only did no one tell me the lady over the phone tried to say they called me yesterday. Which in fact no one called to tell me the time change which I told the relayed to the lady on the phone. She then stated oh I'm sorry I should have call this morning to let you know. Basically proving I was correct. Well again I waited for 4pm to roll around again no call no show. This time I sent them a message through there messaging system. I get a call at 4:30pm stating they are on their way and will be there in 20 minutes. They arrived at 5pm! I had of course take off the rest of work and extend my dogs daycare! At this point I am out a full days work because of their mix up and not informing me. They did not finish their cleaning until 8:45pm which is beyond ridiculous for not only the customer but the staff. The cleaning was good and the ladies were nice. Most likely will NOT use them again due to poor customer service and no communication on time with the customer after a time was established the day before then they tried to lie about it. read more

I have been using Molly Maid for about 4 months now, bi-weekly service. At $150, I want to walk in on the day of my clean and FEEL as if my home was cleaned. It's yet to happen. I always forget they've come because my house certainly doesn't smell as if it's been cleaned. Upon closer inspection, I can tell...they've been there and haven't done a good job...again. Rugs and pillows are never put back where they belong IF they are touched to begin with. Toilets are still dirty under the rim. The microwave may or may not be cleaned. "Dust bunnies" can be seen under the recliner (it's a modern style with an open backside so a dust mop can easily glide under the entire chair without being moved). Now, these oversights may not all happen on any given cleaning day, but there are always areas that aren't done well at all. The purpose of hiring a cleaning service versus just doing it yourself is two-fold, in my opinion. One, you need it for convenience so that it's done consistently when life gets just. Two, you want your home to be cleaned BETTER than what you can do in the same amount of time. That said, I would NOT recommend Molly Maid to anyone for any reason. Sadly, when I've shared with them that I haven't been very happy with the service, they just respond with an insincere apology. No questions as to why or how they could make it better. I've only stayed with them because I've been too busy to fire them and find someone else...until now! I am elated to be done with this company. read more

After having 2 local crews cancel on me for a "Move Out" cleaning service I decided to look at an actual company so I called Molly Maid. I called them on 6/2 to see if they had any availability during the week. I knew it was a holiday week and a long shot but they scheduled me for Friday 6/5 which is the last day I had keys to the apartment. The lady said I was the last appointment and that the cleaning crew of two would be there between 2pm-5pm. Fast forward to 6/5 and by 3:30 pm I hadn't heard from them so I called the office and spoke to Aneesa to make sure they were still coming. She told me that the crews were running a little behind but that she would send the first crew that becomes available. I stressed to her how important it was for me to get the apartment cleaned today at least by midnight because I have to turn in the keys. I continued to wait at an empty apartment for them and around 4:50 pm I get a call back from Aneesa. She told me that 2 crews had finished their last jobs and 1 crew came down with a family emergency and that NONE of them would be able to make it out to my house. Had I been informed earlier I might of been able to pull off a miracle and get someone else to come. But because its 5 pm on a Friday that wasn't happening. All she could offer me was an apology. Well an apology doesn't get me my $1500 security deposit back that I lost because the apartment wasn't clean. So if your moving out of a residence and need a dependable company to come clean your place for you, this company is NOT the one you should call. read more

I have been using Molly Maids every other week for the last few months. I am pretty picky when it comes to my house being cleaned. I cannot find anything they miss or doesn't shine, after they leave. I have been extremely happy with their service. The ladies are friendly and hard working. I have a large overly excited dog, that they don't mind following them all around the house. Ask for "Mary", she is excellent and doesn't miss anything. The cleaning products they use are "green" and smell nice. It's nice not having to buy cleaning products constantly. I will continue to use them and highly recommend their service to anyone. read more

I can't really rate this company on their work, but I can sure rate them on reliability. I have never used Molly Maid before, but decided to give them a try based on their good reviews. I filled out the request online and a couple of days later someone called and we discussed what services I was needing and an appointment was set up. The appointment date arrived, but Molly Maid never did.....I finally called them and I was informed there was no record of the appointment or that I had even spoken with anyone. I decided, again based on good reviews, to give them another try. I spoke with Jessica (she was very sympathetic ) and another appointment was set up (after, once again, having to explain the services I was needing). It is now the day of the second appointment (which was set up between 12 and 5) and it is now 4:45 and no one has shown up and no one has called, not to explain why they are not here or to even confirm the appointment. I called their number (855-2895654) and spoke with the office manager who told me the ladies were running behind (again, a phone call would have been nice) and would be on their way "shortly", which would mean that if they even got here they would be cleaning until around 9 o'clock tonight or later!! I think the price for the initial clean is a little high, but once you become a regular customer, the price decreases substantially. I would recommend them. This place was terrible. I had a one time move out clean and the 1 bedroom apartment had been picked up before hand. It took 2 ladies 2.5 hours to clean and it was $233, which comes out to $93 an hour. That is absurd, there was nothing in the apartment so I don't see where anything "extra" there was to charge. I feel like the ladies manipulated the time and stayed there because I took my lunch break to let them in and I feel like they knew i was not coming back. read more

Molly maids is a RIP OFF. I heard they were too expensive & didn't always do the best work; but I was in a hurry and didn't want to look for another service since I live out in the spring branch area. Huge mistake. 3 Hours and 45 minutes later, my house was not even close to being pristine, especially for $350!! I was quoted less than that, and told it would be anywhere from $175 to $275. I of course only hired them thinking it would be on the low end of the spectrum. There was no way it should take two people 3 hours and 45 minutes to clean a 22,000 sq ft house & I didn't even include all of the bedrooms. I didn't have them clean the fridge or the oven. Only had them make the master bed, which I washed the sheets. It was the worst service I've ever seen done. My blinds were still dusty, my baseboards were not even touched ( when they said they would be) my couches weren't vacuumed, and my floors were still dirty. I am appalled at this service. When I asked for a refund of an hour back because I thought the maids purposely milked the job... considering they spent entirely too long there and the job was not even close to being perfection, the manager had an attitude with me and said the only thing they would do is have them come out and re clean my house. Well, that would require me taking time out of my life to have them do the job they couldn't do the first time over. No, $350, $275 even $175 is too much for what they did. $100 is what I could have paid our family maid & going to pick her up in town would have been much more worth it. I would never hire this service again & I would never let anyone I know hire them either. Waste of time, money, and horrible customer service. Don't mess up like I did! read more

We requested service for our 3200 sq ft home and what we got was a bill for over $300 and a lack luster performance, including glass ring stains still on counters, trash not taken out, dust pretty much everywhere, and bathrooms that looked untouched. When we reached out directly to complain, we were promised a "re-clean" which was then pulled. We were told they would come back at an hourly rate. Definitely taking our business elsewhere. read more
