My grandson kept his mouth open the whole time and when prompted opened wider . Then DR Pain came in and did not even introduce himself. He just kept asking if i have any questions. He proceeded to do the exam on my grandson and i guess the dr was in a rush as he yanked my grandsons mouth open to look at the back of his mouth. He proceeded to aggressively bush on the vitamins to his teeth. What kind of vitamins ? obviously if its a vitamin i can purchase it over the counter. My grandson had an overall okay experience except for the dentist. I thought this was a kids dental clinic which catered to children and were compassionate and gentle . Not this DR. The rest of the experience was good. Front desk, games and ice-cream after told not to brush for 8 hours.

June 2021. I cannot believe it has taken me this long to review "Texas Kids Dental Care" Let's…read morebegin with we are a Military family who moves lots and the first time we were in Fort Bliss we found out that whomever was my child's dentist 1. was not part of our network and 2. didn't have a specialist in house. So, to avoid having to pay extra for services and going to different locations for care we were referred to "Texas Kids Dental Care" (their east location off of Joe Battle) and we were perplexed by their facility. From that moment on, both my child and I loved going to the dentist. Then, the military moved us to a different state and every time we visited a dentist we couldn't stop thinking about "Texas Kids Dental Care" So, we came back to Fort Bliss (El Paso) and we were originally referred to a different dentist and we highly disliked it. Then, I called this new location near Sunland Park and was happy to know they were accepting new patients. Let me tell you why Texas Kids Dental Care Rocks... 1. Their staff is Happy and their costumer Service reflects it 100% 2. Quality Care, 3. Massage Chairs in the waiting area 4. Water, Ice Cream, popcorn, cookies is always offered 5. The waiting area consists of: Carrousel, Theater, play area, tablets, and free large arcade. 6. During service, kids have TVs on the ceiling where they can watch their favorite movies. Yup, at this point I don't understand how can the rest of the nation has not yet moved to this rocking dental experience. They also have partnered with an Orthodontist and offer orthodontist work. Don't go anywhere else!

My child has a complex set of braces which has previously been reviewed by 3 different Orthodontists and 2 different dentist offices. Every time I have received positive feedback in regards to my child's Orthodontic treatment. When I visited Star Kids Pediatric Dentistry the staff was negatively shocked at my child's orthodontic work. Dr Edith Osorio was called to "help" because they felt unsure to do his dental cleaning. I witnessed this because this was my first visit and I was allowed to go in with my son. Dr. Osorio emphasized several times she had never seen orthodontic work like my child's and she didn't agree with it plus a series of questions asking me if my child have had crowns done, and why. Both hygienist and Doctor were extremely unprofessional making both my child and I feel uneasy. I was moved to a cubicle like room to wait. When they completed my child's x-ray, dental exam and cleaning she told me the staff continued to speak negatively of his orthodontic work. From the beginning of the dental work I expressed concern because I didn't know ant them to work on him if they "felt uneasy" overall because it is an expensive appliance and I did not want them ruining it, but they did not stop working on him nor stop speaking negatively about it. My child did like their ice cream. Due to my child's complex orthodontic appliance he has always been suggested to get a dental cleaning every 3 months, so regardless of the negative experience I scheduled a dental cleaning with Star Kids again. When arrived I was asked to complete paperwork which covered same "patients history" from before. Then I was quoted approx $200. Star Kids Staff explained our insurance did not cover x-rays. I mentioned 3 months ago my child had already gotten x-rays,then I was asked for approx $100, when I asked why the staff said it was for the Dental Exam, I mentioned my child had a dental exam 3 months ago, then I was told my insurance doesn't cover all x-rays. I reminded them I had only schedule a dental cleaning on my own because he needed dental cleaning more often, he didn't need anything extra. We arrived 30 minutes before his appoitment but was not seen til 45 minutes after we arrived. I will see how it goes next time, but overall I feel uneasy about this establishment.
