    Cheese pastry. Soooooo good!!!

One of the best spots in PR. Been coming here for years and they never, ever disappoint. Food is excellent. Service is everything! Place is always clean and well kept.

If you are looking for authentic and home made feel puertorican food, Molinis is the place to go in the San Juan/Santurce area. I was raised in Puerto Rico, and currently 55 years old, and one of my best memories involve the food my Mom used to cook, I literally had a "Ratatouille" moment with the first bite I took with various dishes served at Molinis. The owners David Santini and Joanna Molina have a personal approach to the service they provide and personally make sure customers are a 100% satisfied with the food and the service. if you are in the San Juan area, this restaurant is definitely a most go spot for the best home cooked puertorican food and excellent service. Below is my family with the owner David Santini at Molinis.

Local, typical dishes. I had the lunch special and my kid had the salmon.

The most delicious and flavorful food. We went based on recommendation from our tour guide that lives there and said it was one of his favorites. He was not wrong! Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. The service was super friendly. Place was filled with locals so you know it's good!

Pastele de Masa with an extra pork chop

Terrific Puerto Rican cuisine in Calle Loíza. Menu is refreshed every day; being the holidays, I knew I had to get the pastele de masa. The dish itself was delicous, with root vegetable masa and pork in the banana leaf combining well and creating a wonderul aroma. Rice and beans are pretty standard, but tasty nonetheless. Also liked the plantain maduros and pork chop that came with my friend's plate. Pork might've been a bit dry. Service was busy but friendly. We visited during lunch, which put pressure on the two-person restaurant. Took a while to take our orders and to get them out. However, the owner was friendly and did her best to translate the Spanish menu for us. No credit cards accepted, though they now take Venmo. Overall, a tasty and reasonably-priced place for Puerto Rican food in the area. Good, down-home atmosphere. Had I been visiting longer, I would've definitely stopped in again.

Very good ! Better than lasagna... had the sweet plantains instead of noodles They were able to explain the Spanish menu in English for us which made things much easier. I ended up pulling up Yelp and pointing to a picture! LOL

Great food, ambience and service. Johanna was so nice and friendly. Made me feel welcomed. I would recommend.

Food was amazing! You can tell everyone loves working here from the kitchen to the front of house. The service was awesome, David explained the menu to us in english and in spanish.

Mofongo stuffed with shrimp and stuff. Highly recommend!

Two of us came in around noon for lunch. We were seated pretty quickly and ordered water to start. We were given bottled waters and charged $1.50 per. Would have been nice to know that beforehand, or at least given the option for tap, when we saw others around us with it. Beef stew: $14 The beef was cooked till it was very soft, and the dish had decent flavors in it. Definitely wasn't bad, but nothing too special. Mofongo stuffed with shrimp: $18 This was definitely the star dish. Usually, mofongo is just a ball of mashed fried plantains and can get pretty heavy. However, Molini's take on this dish was a bowl made out of mofongo, filled with lots of shrimp and a gumbo type sauce. Highly recommend this dish for its innovation and flavor. The price might steer you away from first glance, but the dish is well worth it. Based on food alone, solid 4.5 stars. However, there were other factors at play. We ended up staying in the restaurant for about 2 hours because the food took so long to come out. We noticed that people who arrived after us were getting their food before us. Perhaps it was because the dishes we ordered took over an hour to prepare, perhaps it was because our server forgot to put in our order, we'll never know. Also, when the food came, the server practically threw our plates down in front of us in a not so welcoming way. I don't expect top quality service from a family run restaurant, but a little politeness and decency goes a long way. Hopefully it's an isolated issue as I really liked Molini's.

Wow! This place is is one of THE best places here in Puerto Rico! Came here for vacation and stopped for some food. When I tell you the customer service here is top notch. We speak very little Spanish they were so accommodating and told us the whole menu in English. The whole staff made us feel like part of their family. The food and drinks were delicious, hot, and fast! Thank you again so much for the experience! Can't wait to come back

The restaurant is located in the cute Miramar area -- also home to my favorite coffee shop, Gustos! Finding parking on Ave. Juan Ponce de León is not easy, but there are many side streets that had open parking spots. The restaurant was busy the whole time we were there, but there always seemed to be an open table. Our waiter was excellent and all the waiters we saw were bilingual. The garlic bread was ok -- tasted like garlic powder on a fluffy, lighted toasted sourdough. I had the "regular" grilled pork chops and they were the best pork chops I've ever eaten. The taste of the grill was so good and the chops were still pretty moist. My wife and kids had the churrasco skirt streak. My son said the steak at Bebo's was better, but I the steak at Los Pinos was super tender and buttery. The mofongo was so bland we didn't eat it and the amarillos (sweet plantains) were dry and lacked any caramelization on the exterior. French fries were good. As a bonus, I finally got my tres leches and it was good. I've never seen a cake oozing so much "milk" from the top of the cake when it was cut. Overall, a solid place, but Bebo's gets the win for our favorite Puerto Rican food. Regardless, I would easily return here for a meal.

This is right next to another 24-hour restaurant which I also visited, and which is visibly less popular. The air conditioning wasn't working this entire evening, and for most of our visit the power was out. I do realize that's more of a Puerto Rico thing than anything related to this restaurant though, and they were able to keep the food coming (albeit very slowly). My food was a very average pasta of the sort that I could get at a small town restaurant anywhere else in the US. But my friend who is NOT easy to please, absolutely loved that seafood soup. If good seafood soup is a draw for you, you probably should come here and get that. I should also mention that the servers were appropriately contrite about the lack of A/C and power and the overall slowness. Although, as with blackouts, I think servers being genuinely nice is a Puerto Rico thing. Also I thought I remembered seeing it was 24-hours, but maybe it's more like almost-24? Check and make sure maybe.
