Smoothie bowl

Delicious smoothie bowl. It was hard to choose from all the options what I wanted to order. Will be coming back

Lovely place for a bite with extremely good Wi-Fi. Had the mushroom quiche, chocolate croissant and cafe Americano. Wanted to stay longer so I followed up with mint tea. It's it's chilly out, go to the back dining space. It's much cozier.

i am not quite sure if this is love at first sight or purely an infactuation........ but for now, molika is as close as it gets to my romantic notion of a parisian cafe. molika has added meaning to my mornings in barcelona. especially endearing she is, on a wet and cold morning as today. yes, most of us would rather sleep in, snuggled up close to our loved ones. but my molika is not in bed with me but up and running by 7.30am on a week day! and in case you mistake her for the easy to access girl next door, she isn't. molika is a 4 blocks pilgrimage for me, once, twice maybe three times daily. her small inviting frame opens up to a warm, cutesy yet rustic home kitchen. her sweet and savoury treats catches my eye almost immediately as i enter. from the simplest of croissants to apple tarts to her sandwich baguettes. all done well and everything freshly baked behind. croissants are my yardsticks for bakeries and cafes. and molika's rendition checks all the boxes. a compact non descript exterior flakes at first bite, releasing sweet and buttery notes whilst seducing you with it's fluffy airy light interior, ending with an ever so slight chewy drag. affirmation indeed of why i lust her so. i've seen many a latte art but molika led me into the world of cappuccino art! her deft artistic use of chocolate sauce further deepened my lust for her. and as her interior beauty is as desirable as her facade, molika is for keeps! thanks! thanks! thanks! thanks molika!

Mocha

Molika and our barista Laura were amazing. I was at a hotel down the street and Yelp directed me to this cozy and coffee shop about 5 blocks away... It was worth the short walk. I literally started almost every day in Barcelona by stopping by Molika. What puts this place in my top 10 coffee shops of all time and my favorite in Barcelona? The coffee is outstanding, the barista really takes pride in the drinks that are produced. I had their cappuccino and their mocha. A note to Americans, their mocha is on the smaller side, much more like an espresso shot with chocolate and whipped cream (still tasty though, just different). The selection of pastries was perfect, everything from macaroons and croissants to some other interesting treats I've never seen before. They also had a large variety of ham and cheese sandwiches, which are quite common in Spain. Their fresh yogurt was delicious as well. The best item I had though was their bacon quiche, it they have it available, it is delectable. The decor here looks like the apartment of a woman in her 20's, it's cute with wooden signs and posters with memorable quotes and words of wisdom and inspiration. The vibe really fits. They also make fresh OJ, not with a machine, but by hand. They also have wifi. Stop by here and enjoy yourself, you won't regret it.

Smoothie bowl and finished cafe con leche

Really good cafe for a quick breakfast or coffee. I love that they had healthier options such as smoothies and juices too. I got a latte and the chlorofil* (not sure about spelling) bowl and both were great. Staff was friendly too!

Really nice ambiance!! I ordered a rose and lychee green tea with carrot cake. The carrot cake was moist and delicious! The cashier was friendly as well.

Best carrot cake this side of Barcelona

Nice place, good pastry selection and actual good coffee to boot. A nice place to come retreat from the city's hussle bussle or to extend your working hour away from the office (with free wifi) Definitely top 3 cafe to be at in Barcelona

Chlorfila Power bowl.. absolutely delicious! And perfect for a great digestive boost.

When I arrived, I have to say, it was maybe the cutest decorated café I've ever seen, which was extremely inviting.

Now I say "enviously" because, while I long for the Spanish-style bakes of dreamy soft bread, what I get instead, living in New York City, are the pastries following the French style. That is, lots of croissant and croissant iterations and flaky desserts with not a touch of that gentle soft dough common to Spain. But I digress. Mistral Forn offers many of those said soft breads, most prominently this treat called ensaimada. It is made of this delicate thin dough, coiled into a spiral and, once baked, dusted with powdered sugar. They also come with fillings, including pumpkin jam (delish) or custard. Here, I tried the ensaimada with the latter filling, and it was everything I wish New York City bakes would be. Soft dough, sweet but not too sweet. Comforting. Cozy. None of that crusty bread scratching the roof of your mouth. I do wish New York City would open a Spanish bakery. I don't know if that will happen any time soon, but a girl could dream.

Although it was busy when we arrived, we were helped right away. The employees were friendly, but…read morethe hand written pricing was a little bit difficult to see within the display case. The ensaimada was wonderful. The pumpkin inside was light and not too sweet. The outer pastry was so soft with a generous amount of powdered sugar. I couldn't stop eating this.

While we were in Barcelona rushing to make an appointment I noticed this shop out of the corner of…read moremy eye.. it looked so good that we decided to come back just to try some of their treats and boy they did not disappoint. We tried one of their chocolate desserts, a chocolate chip cookie and a matcha drink. All of them were great.. so great that I ended up buying a pistachio brookie to go. To this day we regret not buying more stuff to bring back home. The service was great and quick. The place was clean and cute to dine in with a few tables! Overall I'd definitely stop by if I'm in Barcelona again!

Had to try a gluten free bakery while in Barcelona of course (one of many). Chok is for chocolate…read morebut they didn't sell any actual chocolates... but there was a rotation of special flavored cinnamon rolls, rookies, brownies, mini cakes, cookies, and cheesecakes. There were a few loaves of bread but mostly there were those sweets and it seems they have those all the time. We got a regular cinnamon roll because the flavored ones didn't have as much of the frosting on it which is the best part, and a pistachio cream rookie... no im not sure what a rookie is but it looked like a Levain cookie (the famous one from NY) as it was a mountain of a dessert. We had both treats heated up... although they weren't actually hot lol. The cinnamon roll was on par with others I've had, maybe even slightly drier but the frosting was amazing and I still enjoyed it a lot. The rookie was quite decadent and the inside was an almost cake texture? Still quite tasty but I think both would've knocked it out of the park if they were actually hot and ooey gooey. Five stars because it wasn't bad but I can't say I'm super impressed. I will be going to other gf bakeries over this one
