My favorite purchases included separate leather cases (holds one pen each) - I got three in red, blue and orange each - a sheave of wrapping paper in different designs and a wood bookmark. Many of the products are beautifully designed and handmade; the owner will tell you which country they are from or made in, The items I bought were from in Italy, India and France. She's obviously very skilled technically but has a fabulous, modern eye for color and shapes that infuse humor and light into her work. The prices are very reasonable: I picked up a little flask that I plan on using as a tiny vase for 20E that is just too cute to be true. She also does weekend workshops for anyone who wants to learn how to make their own ceramics. The weirdest thing happened as I pivoted on my heel and fell right inside the store. Must have been a weird gravitational well and that gravitational well is "Andie is a sucker for stationery shops". The paper is unlined, creamy colored, and gilt-edged. Though the paper is thin it is relatively dense and un absorbent so ink does not blotch. The thinness of the paper means it is somewhat translucent so one can tell that there is handwriting on the other side of the leaf. The way to make paper opaque is with fillers which also make the paper thick and stiff but this volume is all about thin and light. Being thin light and having lots of leaves, these are the ideal travel journal or near-home always-with-you journal. They are not in the least waterproof though so for serious traveling, trekking, or bicycle touring, the indispensable accessory is a freezer-weight ziplock plastic bag. (Never put a fountain pen in the same ziplock - with elevation change the ink will ooze out and destroy your journal). The book also has a sewn-in place marker ribbon. I find these unnecessary but others might like them. The only thing not small about the bible paper journal is the price -- 60 euros. Ouch! They were pleasant to talk to throughout, as I went through my decision making process, in contrast to some other pen places I've visited (eg, Mora Stylo). I went back and forth between a medium and broad nib, back and forth between the Pelikan and Faber-Castell, and couldn't even make up my mind on the Aurora black versus Pelikan midnight blue ink. I had done prior research on their website and independently, so I think that contributed to things going smoothly.
