Once you enter, the shop is 10+ meters on your left. It is indeed tiny but a paper lover/writer's haven: journals, day timers, cards, pens & accessories, wooden bookmarks, postcards, wrapping paper et al. My favorite purchases included separate leather cases (holds one pen each) - I got three in red, blue and orange each - a sheave of wrapping paper in different designs and a wood bookmark. Many of the products are beautifully designed and handmade; the owner will tell you which country they are from or made in, The items I bought were from in Italy, India and France. The shop has everything I was looking for in supplies. I purchased several different brands of pencils to get a feel for each (then went back to get more of the ones I really love), some toned paper, and a good sharpener. Her and her work partner are both SO knowledgeable and intelligent - as an artist you may not even know what you need that day but these women will help you find it. It's a pro store. From oil to Goauche to acrylic to the pencil and pastel spectrum - Adam has it. The papers. The canvasses. Limitless options here. And the service - again - besides being so smart and helpful, these women can multitask like bartenders - they ring and advise and demo and help and do it over and over again without missing a beat. I love to wander…read morewhichever direction my feet take me, and on one recent day, they took me right past Rougier et Ple. I was honestly not sure what to expect. The building is REALLY big and kind of loud in decor. They sell a wide variety of items, mostly for arts and crafts. For Americans, think of it like a really big, expanded Michael's. I found a bunch of super cool cards and postcards there (I can never help myself... I love cards). And then as I went up floor after floor, I found the most stunning displays of paints, colored pencils, markers, canvases, etc. I didn't immediately locate the stairwell and instead rode up in the elevator. Don't do that... it's covered in graffiti and kind of nasty. Take the steps. But I had a great time poking around in this store and totally am happy I stumbled upon it during my adventuring!

Thankfully I'm not one so I just found the largest mailing tube that they carried (no one else has a larger one, or even one of that size) and carried it out. It ended up being perfect for transporting some large prints overseas.
