She spends at least 1/3 of the class talking about her personal life. Eg, started a recent class with the declaration that she is "so hung over as she got really drunk last night". I want a yoga class to stretch, not to be her therapist. I would gladly change to another instructor, but she is the only one there. The director of the facility, Melissa, is arrogant and abrasive. I have seen her be so rude to patrons, that I am surprised the city has not replaced her as she is a massive liability risk.

Great host and great personalities. We stopped by for a 2 hour session and it was worth the time. The atmosphere is safe and cozy. The water was a warm 90+ degrees even though it was rainy and cold outside. They had nice jazz music playing with we were there which made it even more relaxing. We know how to handle the cold. The freezing cold. But even in the dead of winter, we deserve this resort-style pool day, if we do say so ourselves. They provide a nice private bathroom for changing and a shower for cleaning up afterwards. Nothing beats a hot shower after being in chlorine. They can't promise the sun, but they can promise some fun with the indoor pool. May be the thing to chase the winter blues away. It's the PNW, it's winter most of the time! This Recreation Center is by far an amazing facility, compared to others like it. It was a clean and the different sections and gyms are also well kept. From the front staff to the personnel throughout the premises, Customer Service is at its highest.

Surprised to see some poor reviews here. My partner and I booked a one night stay this past weekend…read more(Jan 2026) and had a lovely relaxing stay. A few things: 1. This is not the type of place you can just roll up to, you should def plan your stay in advance and read the website and FAQs before going. 2. Perhaps we hit it on a good weekend or during the low season, but fortunately, it was not super crowded for us. If you have the opportunity to visit in the evening, that prob would be best though as there weren't more than 2-3 other people in the sauna or hot spring at any time them. 3. I saw complaints about the food not being good - again, maybe we hit it on an atypical weekend, but for vegetarian and gluten free meals, the food was pretty good! For dinner, we enjoyed a pretty nice lasagna with some amazing, fresh greens for salad and the following morning we had frittata, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and hard-boiled eggs. Also, if you find the food bland, there were plenty of hot sauces, condiments, dressings, etc to season it to your taste. 4. I think a lot of people have the expectation that this is a luxury spa resort... it's not. You're not getting gourmet buffets or fancy lodging and beds. It's def pretty rustic, but we found our stay to be comfortable and the amenities to be quite sufficient and most of all, it offered the peace and respite from the real world that we were seeking.
