Coffee, Fountain drinks, and slurppee area is well maintained and clean daily. The entire lott is very large and spacious with a separate section for trucking refueling and a side parking for just convenience store shoppers. Staff I've run into have been kind and very helpful. I pulled the paper on the first item off of the UPC code of easier scanning without having to have the cashier touch my item. The cashier blew a gasket because I did that, she slammed down the scanner device and told the other lady to ring me up. Then she went over to the other cash register to ring up a different customer. As she walked over to the other cash register, she blurted out "I got you" to the other customer and proceeded to ring up his items. The other lady came over and was VERY pleasant, however, I was done dealing with this business for LIFE! The first cashier might not think COVID is real, but I do and I don't want any more exposure to other peoples germs/viruses than absolutely necessary! Which is why I held on to my item for her to just grab the scanner gun and scan the item. Her snide remark and attitude sealed the deal though. I don't NEED to patronize that business when there are others nearby that sell the same items and they actually DO take COVID seriously and mask up and use the scanner the way it was designed to be used. I would NOT recommend this location to anybody who wants to stay healthy and not catch COVID!! They think COVID is a joke and do NOT follow any of the recommended guidelines. They act like COVID has been eliminated from society and that there is no chance of them spreading it or catching it. Conveniently located just off I-80 interstate LaGrange exit, this is the place to go if you are in need of gas, a car wash, a pit stop, or some good food ... this stop is worth it. Outside, there are loads of pumps so you don't have to wait for a gas fill, and they also offer the usual propane exchange tanks. They also have a very nice car wash, if you are in the mood for that. Inside the store, it is very clean and they offer the usual registers and impulse buying stuff (cigarettes, slushies, candy, chips and the like). But now if you would rather have something a bit different ... they can take care of that also. Orland Park Bakery set up a satellite cafe in the store to bring you sandwiches, doughnuts and other pastries, and really good coffee. Heinie McCarthy's has a setup inside also and brings you fresh fried chicken to satisfy your fried food needs. These two food offerings really set this Gas N Wash apart from the competition. The only problem with the special food setups is that they are not 24 hour establishments ... but during regular hours, they are the tops. Give this place a try next time you are buzzing by on the interstate ... you won't be sorry and you'll probably mark it down as a must stop every time through town.

The woman who works the day shift also likes to argue with you over their deals and it may take you a few extra minutes to get what you actually wanted.
