She does a great consultation; she is honest about what is accomplishable, and so far she has been able to accomplish every look I have asked for with ease. I have had her color my hair three times now, and she has also cut my hair and has done my eyebrows. Each experience has been consistently pleasant and the quality of her work is just great. She is also a super nice person and coming in to get my hair cut is always an enjoyable and relaxing experience. It's a relief to know I have my Salt Lake City hairstylist! The salon itself is clean, and I find the staff to be friendly and considerate. I am always offered something to drink when I walk in the door and overall the environment is friendly and relaxing. If you're looking for a new place with great staff, I highly suggest you try this salon.

After some searching, I settled on Salt City Curl Co and I could not recommend it more! I want to fly back to SLC every time I need a fresh cut! As a curly haired girlie who's never really found a salon that fits her needs, let me tell you, this is the one! Alicia listened to my request and delivered exactly what I was looking for. Her time, attention, and focus not only while cutting my hair but while washing and styling my curls made me feel like curl royalty! I could tell Alicia was really taking the time and care to give me a great experience and that's why I felt she and Salt City Curl Co earned such a caring review in return! Highly recommend, excellent experience!

I went here a few months back for the first time and received the worst haircut of my life, hands…read moredown. I communicated well what I was looking for, which included 1. Recognizing that I have different curl patterns 2. NOT creating a triangle/Darth Vader Helmet 3. Taking off an just an inch or two and 4. Cutting WITH the curl rather than blunt cutting it all. Two and a half hours later, I had everything I asked to not have. I had a short, blunt cut, Darth Vader Helmet, with my less curly hair sticking out the bottom. For months now, as I recover, I've had my hair in an awkward ponytail, which is causing significant damage. Further, I wrote an email to management (on 7-17-23) about this experience and received no response 3 months later. Check out after (2) and before pics (1). I'm unable to arrange them in the proper order but I think it's obvious. Idk how long it'll take me to recover my curl pattern after this butchering. Please don't trust Meredith with your curls.

A very dimly lit, private room with four washing stations. Soft music plays and the MOST comfortable chairs that did not put a strain on my neck during the washing process. Maddie gives a lovely head, neck and shoulder massage as she gently goes through the cleansing process. I would go back for that alone. Before we began, Maddie attentively listened to what I had in mind for a new & much shorter cut & style. She made suggestions which I loved and then took meticulousl time in doing my cut. Don't let her age make you think she may not be as good as someone with more years of experience. She's probably older than she looks and very sweet. My 28 year old daughter in law recommended her & said Maddie gave her the best cut she has ever had. I'm in my 60's and have had many experiences sitting in peoples chairs and I of the same opinion. Best cut I have ever had and best overall total experience I have ever had. Can't recommend this place enough & especially Maddie as your stylist.

My 15-year-old daughter went to Lunatic Fringe Salon South Temple in mid-April before Prom and…read morespent over $260 on a cut, color and style. She went to the appointment with her grandmother as I, her father was out of town at the time. I was a little shocked and not aware she was spending this much but when she called me to pay the bill I did so without complaint. This morning, one month later I received a call from the salon letting me know that she missed an appointment this morning and I was being charged $130 for the missed appointment. Obviously, I was a little upset as I had no idea she made this appointment as today was my daughters last day of school. I asked my daughter about it and she said she kind of remembered making an appointment but didn't get any reminder and that she had no idea she would be charged if she missed the it. When I questioned the charge the woman I spoke with simply said sorry, that's our policy. Ok, I get it that's your policy. However, I have a pretty strong hunch that she was talked into (or at least highly recommended) she make a follow up appointment but I doubt it was made clear that if she missed the appointment she would be charged $130. After speaking with the salon, I called my daughters Grandmother and asked her if she remembered anything about this and she said she wasn't even aware that there was another appointment made. In addition to going to school, my daughter works 20 hours a week in an assisted living home. She's a very bright girl but still only 15 years old and I feel she was completely taken advantage of in this situation. In fact, a co-worker of mine overheard my conversation with the salon and told me she had the same thing happen to her and that this salon is notorious for this. I understand the reason for these types of policies but I would have hoped there could have been some concession made. You got my daughters last paycheck, but rest assured it's the last dime you'll get from us or anyone I know. I hope it was worth it.
