I was planning the wedding long distance and he was especially helpful in determining how much alcohol and glassware was needed. We added extra services such as a second bartender, up to 200 lbs of ice, and after dinner coffee service. They also helped serve our champagne for the toast. The bartenders who worked the wedding were friendly and professional. I don't plan on getting married again, but would absolutely consider using them for another formal get together and would recommend them to anyone consider using them.

She was unresponsive to emails and calls, missed appointments and did not follow through with anything promised. None of the food was as presented or described and was extremely disappointing. She showed up 2 and 1/2 hours late on the day of the wedding without even a phone call, and our calls went right to voicemail that was full. The entire day was rushed because of her tardiness and unpreparedness. The wedding party that should have been inside with hair and make up were outside decorating because we did not know whether or not she was even going to be there.The bartenders were not set up or prepared because they had to help cook, wedding guests were helping themselves prior to the wedding as the bar was unattended. The timeline of events was all off including the bridal party entrance to music selected. Our "Wedding Coordinator" was no where to be found during the cake cutting, toasts, first dance, or fireworks send off as she had essentially "checked out immediately after the ceremony. She was supposed to come back the next day to assist in taking down the lights and decorations that were put up but the groom and family had to do that as well as she showed up by herself with no help after the time we were already supposed to have vacated the venue. Of course she had required that we pay her in full prior to the event and we are now sorry that we ever hired this business. Note this wasn't my wedding, this is simply my point-of-view as an attendee at this summer outdoor event. Elkington's grounds include a scenic area overlooking a lake and large outdoor spaces for tents. One of the most memorable things about Elkington was how delicious the food was. I am so conditioned that all wedding food is absolutely terrible, but the buffet here was outstanding. Between the fresh seafood, five star crab cakes and nice selection, everyone was happy and full with dinner. Finding a venue with food this good is a rarity. Honestly, I can't stop thinking about the fact that there's no bathrooms here. Despite the physical wedding being so elegant and southern, they ended up renting "luxury" bathroom trailers. But it was never truly a comfortable situation. As for the couple, they were super happy with everything. I could see the staff working hard and having a big dedication to the couple and their needs. The bartending staff was outstanding and truly knew how to make a drink the right way. We had a nice night filled with many memories!
