3/1/17
This is the second time I've been to a Chinese restaurant, and seen a lot Chinese locals eating, and then been disappointed. There is something wrong whereby the "visitor" experiences poor food. Why?
First I ordered a pint of Fosters' lager. I thought they had given me a beer, and not a lager, and then realised that it was flat. I guess as the gas needed to be replaced. I did get it changed for a bottle of Tiger beer.
I ordered:
Kung Po Chicken - £7.20
Fried Soft Noodles ( ask if they could add bean sprouts, and told yes, but there were very few)
- £3.00
Tiger beer - £3.30
Both the chicken and noodles were lukewarm, and cold by the end. Kung Po is supposed to be quite spicy with Szechuan peppers, but there were like pieces of red spring onion leaves (best way I can describe them). Anyway, none of which seem to have infused the sauce with was bland.
I left most of the noodles. They were offered for me to take home (or back to the hotel in my case), but I declined.
I didn't feel inclined to complain. Perhaps my paranoia being surrounded by young Chinese (possibly students) lads.
At least there food standards' agency rating is a 4.
I was very very disappointed, and won't be returning. read more
