Amazing experience here and super nice for the price. Feels like a chic motel that's been converted to a super cool trendy hotel / resort. The classic orange colors throughout are so cool.

    Eww Cockroach's!

I am currently staying at the hotel and have encountered a significant issue with large cockroaches in my room. It's 8:45 PM, and despite calling and visiting the front desk, there is no staff available to assist me, as the office seems to have closed early. Unfortunately, this leaves me in a difficult position, as I'll likely need to find alternative accommodations for the night. I'm disappointed by the lack of assistance and presence of staff on the property. I could not find one person on site. Based on this experience, it is unlikely I would choose to stay here again. A hotel stay should be clean, comfortable, and service-oriented. I hope they will address this matter urgently. They're literally crawling up my wall!

    Cute little touches throughout

My friends and I have an annual trip every year to come to this quaint little resort nearby to all the shops and restaurants and do a resort takeover (we literally rent out all the rooms). This is one of the small boutique places you can actually do without breaking the bank and we love it. The staff are so accommodating and friendly that we wouldn't even think to go anywhere else. The resort recently upgraded their rooms so no more kitchenettes (bummer!) but there are still spacious rooms, good lighting, floor length mirrors, Nepresso coffee makers and comfortable beds. The resort rooms circle around the outdoor pool and fire pit areas which are great for entertaining friends. There's plenty of seating and lounge chairs available and it's a great vibe to rest and relax. If you're into shopping and dining, it's a quick walk from the resort to Paseo. You can also take one of their many bicycles on property too. If you long for a fun drive, the Mojave is a great place to start as you head down highway 74. From there you can hit Julian (they have great pies), Idyllwild (great dining spots) or the one of a kind Garage 79 off Highway 79. By the time you get back to the Mojave you'll either want to jump in the pool or cozy up fireside. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Work took me to Palm Desert, and based upon my wonderful stay at the Mojave Resort, I hope to return soon for a longer trip. The historic mid century modern motel has re-opened after renovation and is immaculate. The motel is located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood, close to Palm Desert's high end shops. The decor is pleasing without being over the top, and after viewing some of the similar motels in the area, I especially appreciated the tasteful continuity of design elements, with modernized "vintage" elements to provide a top notch experience. I arrived after hours and was pleased to check into a room with gentle lighting and AC ready to go. It was incredibly quiet. The bed was shockingly comfortable and the pillows were luxurious. All the linens were high quality and I especially liked the cotton towels. The bathroom area had a large closet, and I very much appreciated the lovely coffee maker. The credenza and fridge were stocked with for purchase snack and beverage options. Breakfast delivery can be at either 8 or 9 (you choose), and the fare is simple and light. My traveler's stomach was pleased with the options! The morning was lovely, I wandered out to check out the courtyard in the daylight, and was immediately bummed I didn't have a swimsuit with me. If you are looking for unique and restful experience, with motel staff who go the absolute extra mile and are effortlessly friendly, I highly recommend the Mojave Resort. Next time I come back for work, I hope they will have openings. I also showed my boss the motel while there and he is thinking about whether we could use it for a work team meeting!

    The cutest lil kitchenette!

We stayed at Mojave Resort at the end of March while visiting LaQuinta for a friend's wedding. We were SO IMPRESSED. First of all, it was a value priced room, but didn't feel like it. It had a cool retro vibe, but was super quiet, comfy, and had lots of nice amenities. Did I mention we were impressed?!? The bed was luxuriously soft and cozy, the room had a kitchenette complete with mini-stove, mini fridge, coffee maker, even a toaster! This resort has classic bungalow style and old Hollywood charm, and with only 24 rooms, gave it an almost private -resort-like feel. Each room has it's own little patio, too. The hot tub & pool were spotless and we didn't see many other guests there, so again, it almost felt like it was "ours". The grounds were IMMACULATELY maintained. The street along the resort was quiet, as it was off the main street, you didn't get any thru traffic and thus, no road noise interruptions - so a blissful night's sleep! The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful - friendly and personable. Also, there was controlled entry after hours, so it felt safe and secure. IMPRESSED! BONUS - This resort is an easy, short walk to the Shops at El Paseo! This is like the Rodeo Drive of LaQuinta. High end shops like Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Saks, Fendi, Tommy Bahama, art & jewelers and ALL the dining options with bomb Happy Hours almost everywhere. Actually, I'd say it's posh like Rodeo Dr. meets South Beach Miami. If we found ourselves in this area of the Palm Desert again, we'd definitely stay at the Mojave Resort again! (P.S. - Ignore Paula C's weird review, she seems like a kook...look at all the other great stays!)

A beautiful Botique hotel with personalized service. Started out with a welcome cocktail and escort to our poolside room to explain all the amenities; daily continental breakfast, sundown toast at fire pits & hotel bicycles to use whenever.

lovely stay... welcome drink... beautiful scenery... my boyfriend and I loved this stay and will be coming back... the full moon was in effect at our arrival and it just set the whole trip off. the sunrise in the morning was even more breathtaking. nice room, comfortable spacious bed and soft linens.. full bar and the option of breakfast treats in the morning. i'd recommend it to any one looking for a good stay.

I gave 5 stars solemnly based on the PREVIOUS management, as I have not yet visited the long awaited, freshly renovated resort. Unfortunately due to no kids allowed, I will not be coming back. Would love to though if the rules were to change in the future! For any families out there looking for something similar, check out Hotel Paseo. It's right next door!

My stay at Mojave resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were warm, professional, and attentive. They even deliver breakfast every morning. This resort, having recently been renovated, is stunning! They kept the mid-century charm and added immaculate grounds and a serene ambience that perfectly completes the surrounding desert landscape. Every detail, from the lush pool area to the spacious well appointed rooms, made my stay incredibly relaxing. Part of me wants to keep this all to myself, but it is too good not to share. If you visit the area, this is where you want to stay. I can't wait to go back.

    Breakfast starter! Yummy

A girls trip for a weekend in January started with a welcome drink, and shortly after a sunrise salute. Anthony was super attentive and let the fire pits for us as we had great conversation and drinks. The rooms were clean and cozy and near the pool and outdoor seating area.. There were bikes to use and a Jacuzzi pool were heated with plenty of towels available.. the ice machine worked like a gem and a perfect breakfast starter was outside the door on the table each morning. Housekeeping was great supplied clean towels and tidying up the room each day. It's a great location for dinner and shopping and the staff is terrific.!

Prior to our…read moretrip, my husband had made several attempts--over the course of months--to upgrade our reservation to a two-bedroom unit. Each call to the 1-800 number involved wait times exceeding 45 minutes, but we were consistently reassured that an upgrade could be accommodated upon arrival. Unfortunately, this was not the case. At check-in, the front desk informed us they could not assist and directed us to contact the 1-800 number again. After doing so, we spoke with a representative who reviewed the notes from our previous calls and confirmed that an upgrade should be possible. We were advised to request a manager upon returning to the desk. However, after waiting in line again and explaining the situation, the manager declined to come out and instead relayed through staff that the last two-bedroom unit had already been taken. As a family of five, a one-bedroom was not suitable, but we decided to move forward and make the best of the situation. Upon arriving at Building 6, we were immediately concerned by the condition of the property. The stairwells had visible cobwebs and scattered trash, giving the impression of poor upkeep. When we entered the unit, it was clear the space was not well designed for comfort. The living area was cramped due to excessive, unnecessary furniture, and both the living room and bedroom felt tight and poorly arranged. The bathroom was adequately sized but only had a single sink. The shower/tub leaked water, and the shower curtain appeared insufficient, which likely contributed to visible water damage. There was also noticeable mold and general uncleanliness in the bathroom. The carpeting throughout the unit appeared heavily soiled. The pool experience was also disappointing. The property advertises multiple pools, including two with water slides. On our second day, we attempted to enjoy these amenities, only to find that one of the main pools connected to a slide was closed, with assurances it would reopen the following day. At the main pool, we found the patio furniture in poor condition--cushions were torn and visibly dirty--and the pool water itself appeared unclean. Additionally, there was ongoing construction nearby, which disrupted the environment and required guests, including my daughter, to repeatedly accommodate workers passing through. We moved to a quieter pool area, which was somewhat better, but the water still appeared less than clean. On the third day, the previously closed pool remained unavailable, adding to our frustration. We eventually found another pool area that was better maintained, with cleaner seating. Food service was also inconvenient, as everything had to be ordered through a mobile system with no traditional waitstaff, which made the experience less enjoyable. Other issues included receiving extra blankets and pillows delivered in trash bags, which felt highly unprofessional. The pull-out sofa bed was in poor condition, with torn bedding and what appeared to be stains on the mattress. Overall, after four days, we were ready to return home. This was one of the most disappointing stays we have experienced. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and unresponsive customer service made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a relaxing family trip.

The waterfall features are so relaxing, and there are plenty of lounge chairs to spend the day soaking up the sun. The pool is perfect for both adults and kids, making it easy for everyone to have a great time. One of the things we love most is that there's always something to do. Between the pool, cornhole, foosball, ping pong, and all the open spaces to relax and spend quality time together, our family is never bored. In the evenings, we love hanging out around the outdoor seating areas and simply enjoying the beautiful resort grounds. The rooms are comfortable, the property is well maintained, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Every visit has been filled with wonderful memories, and that's why we continue coming back year after year. If you're looking for a relaxing, family-friendly resort in the Palm Springs area, I highly recommend the Renaissance Esmeralda. It's become one of our favorite traditions, and we can't wait for our next stay!
