Dr Fritschle is treating my son in an inpatient program in California. I'm not sure now this is…read morelegal but tele-health makes all kinds of things possible. My son is diagnosed with schizophrenia, which she is not an expert in. The prior reviews about her schedule staying on time resonate with me. She is very in control of her schedule. Too in control to take care of her job. We discussed a well organized plan to switch his medication. He was on zyorexa and Deepa off. She said that if we were going to do that we had to get him off depacote as this is not compatible with caplyta. After six weeks of titrations down on the depacote she told him he can't have caplyta, which has been highly recommended for him by some other professionals I've engaged. Turns out caplyta is compatible with depacote (so she was just wrong and out my son though unnecessary stress taking him off of it) and he needs to be titrated off or zyorexa to take the caplyta. She told us she talked to the drug rep and he said it didn't work for schizophrenia. Not what he said. I was able to check. Titration off of zyprexa would require extra check ins with my son (see love of her schedule). I set up an appointment with my private consultant so she could learn what she didn't understand. She didn't show up after agreeing to make the call. My son is very disappointed. He wants to have better mental health without the side effects or zyprexa. Anyway, she's may be great in some cases but she's out of he depth, and is so focused on keeping her time under control she has failed to help as needed.

It can also be a bad thing though b/c if you need an extra 5 minutes with her, you aren't going to get it because she runs on schedule no matter what, even if she has to cut you off. I don't like that. I also gave a second star because the office employees are all extremely nice and friendly. They always made me feel very comfortable. I'd prefer to not get into the medications I take, so I'm not going to. Suffice to say, there's a particular medication I have been taking for over 15 years and it is not a medication which you can just stop taking cold turkey because it can cause a stroke if you do. This is a medication that Dr. Fritschle refused to prescribe to me any longer, and that was fine with me. I knew I would have to find another doctor. She and I even discussed this. No problem. She gave me one last prescription for the medication which would last one month with no refills; however, the quickest I could get an appointment with a new psychiatrist because I was a new patient was 5 weeks out. Dr. Fritschle refused to refill the prescription. She even refused to give me a prescription for it even for just a week until I could get in with the new doctor. I absolutely did not understand this because as a doctor, she knew this was a medication I could not stop taking cold turkey. In the end, I had to go to my internal medicine doctor and he gave me a prescription for the medication until I could get in with my new psychiatrist. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful internal medicine specialist who was able to get me in immediately. It was a hassle, a pain, and caused me a lot of undue stress. When she called me, she was actually quite rude about the whole issue while on the phone with me. That was unnecessary. One would think a psychiatrist would not want to cause their patient any stress. I feel she was not looking out for my best interests as her patient.

Every question I asked, he dismissed. The first and only thing he would ask was, "How are you feeling?" As I attempted to answer the question, he ignored me while he began writing prescription refills. He never heard a word I said. Just handed me the prescriptions and pushed me out the door. He could care less if the prescriptions are working or not, but since he has you addicted to the meds, you really have no choice but to keep taking them. Thank goodness I finally woke up and started seeing a real psychiatrist! As if the doctor isn't bad enough, the woman who runs his front office, Ramona, is a huge power-tripping b****! She always spoke to me like I was a piece of crap and I heard her speak the same way to every other patient that walked in the office. I have never in my life encountered someone so rude and abrasive working in a doctor's office as her. Cash only here. No credit/debit cards accepted. Ramona will make sure you pay up font and she will also make sure every other patient in the office hears all about your financial business. Interesting he only takes cash. I wonder if the IRS is aware of this. Also, if you truly want to know how bad this doctor is, read the filtered reviews. I'm sure they both got filtered by Yelp because they were written by people w/ no photo or other reviews on Yelp, but I can vouch for the fact that the reviews are 100% accurate. I am well established here on Yelp and I very rarely give 1 star reviews. Hopefully my review will stick around so people are well aware of how horrible this doctor is (and don't forget about the horrible receptionist)!

This is because they refuse to work with my insurance provider's management company. This was explained as they will not reach out to anyone except Cigna even though our plan has ClaimDoc manage the claims for Cigna. ClaimDoc attempted to reach out to them multiple times prior to the beginning of the year insurance change with no response. If they had simply said no, we will not take that insurance, or do anything to make this work, then we would not have these issues. They now want $1000 for 4 30 minute sessions. They were already paid by insurance that went through for one of them and are now trying to tell me that I am going to pay for that too because they don't think they were paid enough. Even my HR rep who previously dealt with them is having this problem. They refuse to help in any way or work with our insurance management provider. Then you are left to deal with the fallout of their mismanagement. Just avoid.

The facility is top-notch, the campus is modern, clean, and the staff is terrific. Everyone we came in contact with were helpful and knowledgeable. The place is beautiful, art everywhere, places to sit and relax, history of the Mayo family and how it all came to be, photos, and information. This was all just in one part of it where we were, the ER and Davis Building. They also have quality places to eat and even a full Starbucks here. This is a state of the art hospital with world class physicians. Walking the corridors there an air of calm knowing you or your family member are being treated by the best.
