A local and tourist favorite near the Katiki Point Lighthouse and Moeraki Boulders. Free Wi-Fi, lots of indoor and outdoor seating with great views of the harbor, and a large parking lot. It was pretty quiet when we stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday around 3pm. The staff were so friendly and helped us navigate the menu to find something for my husband who is a picky eater. The open faced steak sandwich and battered Blue Cod with chips were both delicious! Our AirBnB hosts in Oamaru even said that this was one of their favorite restaurants. This was a lovely place for us to stop on our road trip from Dunedin to Oamaru. Great food, great service, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious and even had nice changing tables for families. read more

I ordered the seafood chowder, while my wife just wanted a drink. When the chowder arrived, she took one taste and immediately ordered some. Great flavor from all of the different seafood with some toast to soak up any leftovers. Throw in a great selection of beers and you have a great lunch.
