I'm giving two stars for the fact that the staff was always great. But I've been a monthly subscriber for many years, before the plant city location opened. The employees sold me on that multiple vehicles were totally fine, if you were unhappy with the car wash that you received you're welcomed to go back through, and if our equipment is not working correctly ie; vacuum or air compressors, you will be comp that months fees, if you complain. Fast forward 4 years later. Air compressors are not working 90% of the time but still I kept faith that it would get better. Between my wife and I, we have 3 vehicles. No problems for years letting us utilize the car wash for multiple vehicle, which averaged about 5-7 washes a month. Well I was sold on any vehicle, one wash a day as long as I used my phone number. Today I'm told that the owner has changed everything. The owner has changed that we aren't allowed to run multiple vehicles through, that your account is tied to the license plate. The employee explains this was as always very polite and gave me my last wash with Mod wash. Go to do post car wash duties today and the vacuum is barely working and the air compressor line isn't even present on the Eastside of the lot, you have to drive to the westside of the lot to use the air compressor line. Customer service has always been great, but the owners seem like they're out of touch and really don't care about loyal customers. read more

So when mod wash opened in Plant city I was pretty excited. One of the key components when washing the inside of your car is having compressed air which they did have. The compressor has been broken now for months so they just got rid of it altogether. The last couple of times I've been there including today the vacuums weren't working. They were operating at about 20%. The dryer coming out of the car wash is only drying the left side of the car not the right side. I'm not sure if there's a new management team/owner or what the deal is, but this business is fading fast as they showed up. I'm canceling my membership and trying out another local car wash. Been a member since day one. Just a shame. read more

The most dishonest company that I have ever been involved with. It threw my car off the track and did $4000 worth of damage. Manager did a report and I got a call the following morning to go get estimates for repair which I did. After nine days of not hearing from them, I went up there and was told that a check had already been cut. Nine days later I found out that they had lied. wanted me to sign a blank release form and then twelve days later they finally sent a check but refused to rent a car for me. Bait and switch pricing for the unlimited membership. They sign you up for one price and then up it for the 2nd month. I was told by customer service that "11.99 a month refers only to the first month. That's why it says "A" month. The crew there is great but very shady business practices. Good morning Arrived to the Plant City ModWash this morning and the car wash is broken and closed. Went back 90 minutes later and it is still down and closed. This a frequent occurrence at this location. I have the monthly membership since the ModWash opened and the level of service has dropped over the last 3 years. I think I've changed my mind about this place. We went to visit just to vacuum my trunk really quick, and was greeted by a rude older man who got onto us for entering the wrong way. Like I'm supposed to know? I don't usually come just for vacuuming... I usually come for an entire car wash + detailing my car. Either way, he insisted that I went back around and wait in the line to be let in to use the vacuums, regardless of my membership receipt in my dash (which he didn't even ask to see!.) Even though I was already at the vacuum- he could have told me "for future reference" but wanted to make it hard on me, so I just left. I didn't have time to wait in line. The way he spoke to me just rubbed me the wrong way, and I don't appreciate feeling jumped on by some grumpy old dude. I hate to write this review because I had nothing but a positive experience every time, but some people need to learn proper customer service. read more

The Plant City location is the worst location there is. If the main location you will go to is Plant City I suggest going somewhere else. The employees are good but whoever maintains the equipment is doing a truly terrible job. Most of the vacuums do not work very well. You have to go over the same spot 30+ times because they're so incredibly weak even though there isn't any clog. Although this location is fairly new, their equipment is so poorly maintained that it's not worth the money at all. You would think with a new car wash they would take proper care of it, but unfortunately they do not care. Don't spend your money here. read more

Incident in MODWASH with no resolution. My family and I were getting ready to go out of state for the weekend. The place where I do my car wash was closed. Remembered this place, filled my tank and here we go. First of all, there are only three kids working there, no one is attentive to anything. Paid my entrance, went through the machine normal as it could be, left and another customer tells me of my tires. This is crucial since my tire deflated while leaving the structure. Reason that I mention this is because if it happened inside, I would have been riding them flat. While all three tires deflate immediately, I was not able to move the truck without risking damage to itself. Went to find who is in charge, was a young lady, called the manager, because there was no responsible adult in the establishment. Spoke to the manager and his first words were that it was my fault for having aftermarket valve covers. I told him I have gone many times to other car wash and nothing has happened. To make clear I have gone with my Camaro with a kit and the first thing the employees ask me, have you been through before? They are attentive to what goes in and out, because they have adults working. Took video of the Deputy that told me it is a Civil Suit, not with any malicious intent. The part that washes the tires has movement, makes pressure for the tire to maintain straight while cleaning. I believe it was there where it happened since my tire deflated too quickly to have happened further inside. The issue that with aftermarket parts car wash are referring to is, if it tears your spoiler that was not installed by factory, had some torn from the vehicle that was installed by the owner. In my case the machine did something to tear my valves and I believe was with the metal ends of the tire cleaner. An aftermarket valve cover was the issue and because of that it was my fault and not the car wash. Had to pay for three tires inconveniently because of the irresponsibility of the manager of the establishment. They have insurance and treat customers like crap. First blame the customer, he won't do anything a Lawyer will cost too much money to pursue. That is the mentality of every business and I believe everyone with this mentality has to pay. Things are not cheap now a days for these kind of unexpected issues to occur with no reauctions. I just went to get ready for a trip to see my daughter during the long weekend and now have to post complaints for the Owner to take action since the irresponsible manager has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. On the pics you will see the tire cleaner that moves, the damage, the receipt of damages, with a pic on their site of a side step that hides underneath the truck and still damaged it. This needs to be resolved as soon as possible, if not I will contact the news outlet. Why have insurance for issues as this and do not want to use. Is it because the price of the insurance will go up, yes, then have better employees to prevent or just have better managers with customer service. I just went to get my weekly car wash, I have a subscription, and was told I could not go through the car wash because my car was too dirty! It's been raining excessively in my area and I drove through a little bit of mud on my way out of my driveway. I have never had a car wash tell me that I had to pre-wash my car elsewhere before I came through the car wash. Yes, I said car wash a bunch of times, it's a car wash, meaning a place to clean a dirty car. I asked where I should "prewash" and the attendant said, "not here". We used it one time. They sold us a monthly membership tire package saying it would clean tires and rims. It didn't even touch our rims! We had to hand wash them! When we showed the problem to the manager he said it's not his problem. He didn't offer a refund and wouldnt cancel our monthly package. He even took a picture of our rims AFTER we cleaned them implying that we were lying. What kind of place does this to their customers? We had a small SUV but we spent $17.00 to go there and clean our own tires and rims and get horrible service from the manager! Now we have to chase down corporate to cancel our account because they wouldn't do the right thing! read more

ModWash is a convenient, fast, way to wash your vehicle. I am always greeted by professional staff, most of all Robert G. Their facility is always clean and the cleanup supplies are plentiful. The wash/dry process is very effective as my vehicles end up clean with very little residual water left after drying. I highly recommend ModWash for all vehicles. read more

Car wash is fine and if you get a vacuum that works properly it'll suck your floor mats out of the car. My problem is with the monthly car wash packages. I signed up for one when there was a sale, thinking it would be for only one month. I got billed again the next month (shame on me) and cancelled it online however I got charged again the next month, this time for a lower amount even though there were no subscriptions tied to my license plate. I called customer service and come to find out that I actually had 2 memberships using the same card but on the 2nd subscription the last letter of my license plate was a 'D' instead of a 'B' (ModWash uses your license plate to check if you have a monthly subscription). When I signed up for the 2nd one I was told by the attendant that I 'can get washes for the rest of the month', making it sound like it's only for a month and not recurring. I got the money refunded for the second subscription (thank you Jesse) but am disgruntled about this whole ordeal and not sure if I go back. read more

Do not waist your time coming here. My trick was muddy from Elsa went to be cleaned purchased their best was which include under carriage. That cost a very high $24.95 Went through the was and the running boards of the truck along with the under carriage was still filthy. Talk to teh attendant he put me through again, however there was no change. The aatendant stated they have nothing in the was to was the running boards on the truck. Other washes have Pressure washer to remove the heavy dirt save your money go someplace else. You will be much happier. read more
