There's a good chance you won't, because that's all this college ever produces. Back when I was a young (and very naive) human I used to think college and higher education was for advancing humanity. Building better technology, scaling, furthering our understanding of the universe. Boy, was I mistaken, because at MJC I learned the truth about what college is REALLY for. Which is just to PRETEND to want all that but actually just kiss @$$, smile, feign competence, and, most importantly, try to get a big paycheck. ​​​​​​At MJC, everyone just agrees with the majority, and logic or critical thinking? Hah! Nice sense of humor you got there . Now that's what I have to say about the students there and how they're nothing but incompetent Muppets. Let's talk about the college as a whole Releasing nothing but Healthcare workers. Why does MJC do this? Because its the easiest field for incompetence to hide. You see, as a plumber, you either fixed the sink or you didnt. As an electrician, your light either works, or it doesn't. If you're a mechanic, the car either runs... or it doesn't. But in Healthcare there's plenty of incompetent actors to flourish behind ambiguity. The right approach, the right mannerisms, the right personality. All of these are subjective and debatable, unlike whether or not a car simply runs. Another reason why Modesto poops out these useless Healthcare workers is because its the easiest "problem" to fabricate. If your car runs, you assume it works. If your sink drains, you assume no problem. Theres no "nuance", theres no "condition", theres nothing to attach narratives to. Theres no "your car work, oh but it has 'autism' and thats why you need to also give it this". Theres also no emotions. Your car gets serviced for an oil change, there no gut wrenching potential (or phantasmal) "cancer" thats going to demand big monies to cure a "problem" you didnt know you had. Healthcare is the easiest field to scam humans with because it has the biggest cloud of ambiguity and distortion compared to the trades. Its honestly sickening once you see it for what it is. Im not about to waste my life on gaslighting nonsense, even if it pays well. Besides, I can do much better with my capabilities without these uselsss "higher" education camps. I'd give it one star but then I'd be completely also discrediting the useless sciences I did learn there like Anatomy, Physio, and Microbiology. But beyond a few worthwhile classes (that you cant even really capitalize on without significant capital) going here is a waste if you truly want to level up your intelligence. But if your goal is to be a mindless drone and collect a paycheck, itll probably serve that function. ​​​​​​

My only compliant is that the school has decided not to assume the risk, or up their insurance, to open the lab to non- or past students. There is no where in Modesto to develop your own film; Stockton is the closest. MJC could really capitalize and help build and revitalize the community by being the only place in town where you can experience a dark room for yourself. I'd love to see mini classes for hobbyists as well, that way there was no need to apply for college again just for a refresher course.

Teacher was let go three weeks into the six week course because she was not lecturing and would leave the classroom multiple times a day. No formal apology was given by owner. The owner took over the class and spent half of his time talking about his political views, which made me and other students uncomfortable. I got the highest grade in the class (no thanks to the course but to hours of studying) and was asked to come back for FREE to help teach the class. The classroom environment was no place for learning and could not even be compared to any high school course I've taken. Please don't give your money to this business.

The program offers a detailed and well-structured syllabus with excellent clinical exposure. The variety of clinical facilities helped me effectively connect theory with real nursing practice. The instructors are experienced, dedicated, and bring different teaching styles, which made learning engaging and meaningful. I would like to personally appreciate Ms. Mandeep Kaur for her excellent Med-Surg lectures and deep understanding of physiology. Ms. Dawn Hayek delivered outstanding OB lectures; her teaching style, expressions, and clinical insight made her lectures more valuable than textbooks. Ms. Laura impressed me with her energy and experience-based Pharmacology teaching. Ms. Charmaine brought strong expertise in PEDS and NICU, adding depth to her lectures. Mr. Phil Waymire played a key role during MOD IV and Capstone by helping tie everything together. His SIMS knowledge and rationales truly empowered students. I also appreciate Ms. MJ, Ms. Jess, and Ms. Ashita for being kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. The clinical instructors were exceptional. Ms. Antonieta Largoza is thorough and disciplined, ensuring strong fundamentals. Ms. Linda White is passionate and inspiring, and Ms. Alicia Grigsby has a unique teaching style with excellent student camaraderie. Special thanks to Ms. Tu (Director) for her coordination with students, Mr. Benne (VN Coordinator) for always advocating for students and resolving issues promptly, and Mr. Jay and Ms. Brenda (Clinical Coordinators) for their constant support and responsiveness. I ended up failing during my prerequisite courses, leaving me with a $1,500 debt that I had to repay before I could try again. When I decided to return to nursing school, I carefully researched my options and chose the Modesto campus. Although both campuses were about 40 miles from where I lived, the commute to Modesto felt more manageable. More importantly, the Modesto campus felt like home. The support I received from the instructors and administrators went far beyond academics. They not only taught me how to become a nurse, but how to become a good nurse. Those lessons will stay with me throughout my career and for the rest of my life. My biggest piece of advice to future students is simple: read the books. Do not rely solely on Quizlet or shortcuts. Read the chapters, take handwritten notes, and put in the work. I am not the smartest person in the room, but I worked hard and gave this program my full effort. I want to express my sincere appreciation to Tu, Mr. Bennie, Ms. Laura, Amber, both Stephanies, and Stephanie at the front desk, who always answered my questions and every phone call. I am especially grateful to Stephanie Kelly, my first clinical instructor, as well as Ms. Maria, MJ, Ms. Nisha, and Tina, the nurse at my clinical site. You would think that the Main Mechanic AKA Teacher who is teaching these students what to do would check all the students works on the car once finished to make sure it was at least safe to drive and done decently... I think it was checked half ass and not properly... Had them put new shocks and struts on and they did exactly that... Took the car to Midas to have the brakes done which i'm glad I had Midas do and not them... Come to find out none of our tires were on correctly and bolted in properly. Midas looked at us like we were lucky to be alive. Tires were extremely loose and had so much wiggle room once lifted up... Please check and double check your work! They taught me a lesson to not come back to have free work done or recommend this school to anyone...
