History

Established in 1991.

Modern Rentals began on December 17th, 1991 when Doug Jacobson opened the business on Stanton Street with a few pieces of rental equipment and a commitment to help his customers the best he could. By 2000 the business had outgrown that site and was moved to its current location at 456 N. Douglas Street. In 2015 Craig Leahy purchased Modern Rentals with the goal of continuing to be a community leader in rentals, sales and service. Much of the entire staff you are familiar with remains and our commitment to help our customers is stronger than ever.

When I purchased Modern Rentals Inc. in 2015, my goal was—and continues to be—to serve as a trusted community leader in rentals, sales, and service. I am committed to supporting the Ripon community and the surrounding areas by helping customers find exactly what they need, whether it’s a rental unit or a new piece of equipment. As a family-oriented person, building strong relationships and providing dependable service are especially important to me. I believe in treating people the right way and making things right whenever challenges arise. I hope to continue to serve the Ripon community and the surrounding areas for many more years!
