Sooooo. This was an interesting visit. I chose this nail salon because of the reviews on Google. (4.6 with 250 reviews) We set up an appointment online, was confirmed through text, reminder texts - all fantastic and super convenient. However. We show up for our appointment ("group" pedicure for my mom and me) and there's only one person ready to start on my mom's feet. No problem. I sit and hang out and wait with my feet in a bath. Meanwhile, a child is running around turning off lights, running behind pedi chairs, trying to throw color samples into the foot baths, etc. Understandably, childcare is expensive and can't leave him home. That wasn't the issue. The woman providing the pedi for my mom was constantly interrupted during her (less than) 30 min pedicure - skipping the cuticles, no foot/calf massage of any kind, giving her only one layer of (sloppy) polish/no topcoat. Then left her at the chair after chasing the child into a back room, not coming back to finish anything - no communication. When it was my time to receive my pedi, I soaked a bit before she started. The nails were cut jagged without being filed, no cuticle treatment, no foot scrub on the bottom of my feet or rough spots on my heels/big toe, BUT I did get a sugar scrub on my shins (whyyyyy?) so rough I was wincing and pulling my legs back from her hands. She continued to massage my legs so hard and rough I had bruises on my calves for a week. My white toenail polish was layered on maybe 4 layers and a clear coat on top, messy asf. She cleaned up the polish all over my toes with her nail, digging into my toes under my nails, also painful. I was then sent to the fans to dry, without instructions of how long or a timer or anything. Just kinda sat there til I thought it was dry enough and asked if I could pay and leave. My mom and I just kept giving each other looks like WTF because it was an experience we couldn't make up. I tried this nail salon out for my bridal shower the next day. I chose this salon based on "good" reviews and the fact that they did dip nail extensions. I made an appointment online and had several confirmation texts that my appointment was at 12pm. So when I got there I told the man I had an appointment at 12 and the guy argued with me a little bit insisting my appointment was at 1pm but you know I got 3 confirmation texts for 12pm so I showed him that. They had someone doing my toes for about 30 minutes. I picked a very muted pink color. Then for my hands I asked about dip extensions- they had someone else doing my nails instead of the woman who did my feet which was okay. The lady who did my hands did not even ask about dip extensions or what color of dip powder I wanted and just gave me the most basic "no color" dip powder. So now I have a "clear coat" of dip powder on my nails and some of them are a bit more bubble like than others. I thought my feet were fine and then the next day something dropped on my food and smudged toenail polish which means that my toe polish was put on too thick. Will not be returning here for nail services. read more

I wanted shellac but was told my nails were too weak from having acrylics. They recommended do nails because it's stronger. I was hesitent because I haven't been happy with any place that has done my dip nails. They've always been uneven and wavy feeling. My nail tech was amazing. Even though I had no polish on my nails the technician used a drill bit which damaged my nail bed. She filed my nails and made it flat on top and rounded on the edges even though I asked her to do it rounded. She didn't even push down my cuticles. I asked for clear nail polish and after I left it started peeling off. There was a young boy running around the salon and he actually laid on my daughter's leg while she was having a pedicure. Not very friendly and they speak no English. You can see from the picture that the nail polish had a rough texture as well. It is not acceptable. read more

Crappiest pedicure I've ever had. It took 10 min. He totally rushed through it. He cut my toenails and didn't even file them. When he painted the nails he didn't paint the ends of my nail. It literally looks like I painted my nails myself. The water was cold. And the hot towel they are supposed to wrap your legs with, he used one, set it on my leg, waited 5 sec and moved it to the other leg. I am so disappointed and I will NEVER be back. read more

I was extremely disappointed that i wasn't able to get my gel full set done on july 5th. I made an appointment for 5:00 on july 5th for my best friend and i get get our nails done by tan. We waited an hour and 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment to get in with him. I let my friend go first since we were in a time crunch and i wanted her to have a fresh manicure by Tan (who i was recommended to go see by an old friend) for her wedding day july 6th. She loved how her nails turned out for her big day.it was just a big disappointment as me her bridesmaid was unable to get my done too. Mid way through her nails he mentioned that a lady in the shop could do mine, i said ok. I went outside for a second to make a phone call and when i got back it was apparent that she had no desire to do a service for me as she was folding up towels and cleaning her area as if to end her shift, i politely asked if it was ok to get a service done by her and i was ignored. I was very mad at this point. I then had to call another salon to book an appointment the day of the wedding for my nails. I was really hoping for Tan to do mine. It just seems like if it was impossible to get us both in at our scheduled time, then why put us under the impression that it was ok. The service was not there. I have never experienced anything like this in any salon or spa (nail salons or hair salons) even though i was very very upset with the service i made sure to leave a decent tip and payed for my friends nails. It is unfortunate to say but i wont come back to this salon. I hope you figure out your appointment scheduling and please start being more honest and respectful with your customers. I have only had positive experiences here. In December my mom, Grandma, and sisters all came in to get our nails done for my sister's wedding. They did an amazing job and were happy to fix my grandma's nails that she accidentally smudged. I was in again yesterday and got shellac, the woman who did it did a great job, didn't take long, and it was very affordable. Not the fanciest place, but they are kind and do great work! read more

Before arriving I called & asked if they had any availability for two full sets. I was told to come in at 6:30. As I arrived I figured out they don't have decent parking spots . So I had to squeeze between two cars. I go in and I'm greeted. We were told to sign in and pick a color. I did so and sat down, my friend went first. I sat next to her and watched literally a lady get done with a pedi and started packing up when she clearly knew I was next.. they kept walking past talking ect, at this point I'm angry! I finally get seated and Lihn begins on my nails.. for one, he's very unprofessional. He was on his phone the whole entire time giggling and laughing. We were there for two and half hours! When we got there it was two other lady's.. it wasn't even busy. Because he kept getting so sidetracked. My nails are okay, not the best I've had. Kim did my friends nails great. Because of how long it took I would not go back to Lihn . He was friendly and everything but unprofessional . Other wise salon was clean, cute and relaxing. read more

I got really, really bad vibes from this place. The website posted the time but it let me schedule an appointment earlier than when it opened which was very confusing. I showed up at noon on a Sunday with my 11 AM appointment and have waited for hour and fifteen minutes. My friend scheduled the appointment correctly so I've just been sitting here as others have come and gone. We were told it was because they had appointments but we saw that one didn't. It feels like they treated us differently because we're teenagers. This review hasn't even addressed the state of the salon; the inside is unfinished with tile missing, walls not making it all the way down to the floor, and the windows unframed. I really wanted this to go better than it did, but I did not have a good experience here. I hope it gets better and others have a good time. read more

I was not happy with my visit at modern nails. My friend and I both got our nails done and the whole time the two men doing our nails were being rude to us, when it came time to pay for our nails, one of the men rang me up but didn't tell me that he put my friends tab on mine, also before we left my friend set her money on the table and forgot about it, the man never said anything to either of us and just took advantage of the situation. I am not happy, $40 is a lot of money to just take from someone, you'd think that a business that is supposed to be professional would speak up to the customer. read more

This visit did not...requested a specific manicurist (request ignored), shellac took 1.25 hours, polish is bubbled and doesn't cover nail, asked for rounded and short trim but got square and jagged which I needed to file myself.
