Dont waste your money. They promise everything and do not deliver. I'm currently a member, and I haven't recieved a call from them in over 7 weeks! I paid 2 1/2k to join, and Im sure I could do just as well by myself. The matches they did provide at the initial week were horrible. There are nicer and prettier women on Tinder.I called today and the lady on the phone said she was swamped, but thats her problem, not mine.She stated she was the only matchmaker, and she was extremely busy. So, what she is telling me she is I wasted my money.I paid for a city -wide dating service with only one matchmaker. Anyway, her matches sucked. Very sketchy service. Tracy in particular is a greedy and manipulative person. Red flags. She talks about how honest she is. If you are really honest, you don't have to drone on about it. They are not transparent about pricing and try to corner you with hard sell tactics. They waste an hour of your time before telling you the basic package is $5,995 for 6 months of the service (1 event per month) and 5 personalized matches. They try to rush you to sign an agreement to get the first day sign on discount of $1,000. Tracy didn't like when I brought a pen and notepad to take notes because they want to hide their price structure from the public. And she frequently interrupted my notetaking to say "Shall I stop and let you write all this down" while rolling her eyes. Very disrespectful. She tried to guilt trip me when I asked for an opportunity to go home and sleep before making a decision. Wolves in sheep's clothing that prey on the desperate. Rather than charge a monthly subscription they asked to pay a lump sum up front so they have you over a barrell. Finally when I got up to leave Tracy's office she rudely tells me to sit back down and that I'm acting like I am angry with her. Well now I am. That they supposedly have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau is a joke. I would sooner go to Dr. Kevorkian for medical ethics advice than to Modern Mingle for matchmaking. read more

I called Modern Mingle to learn more about their dating service. I spoke with a male who explained how the service worked. My intuition told me to not proceed any further so I backed-out and I told the man I was no longer interested. However, he persisted that I give it a try. He continued calling me at least twice a day for at least 10 days after I backed out. I'm pretty damn smart with common sense and I could read between the lines- Modern Mingle wanted my money!!!! They told me it would be 8000$ to join and I said that was out of my budget so the guy actually asked me " what do u hv in ur bank account right now?" I said that's none of your business. I bought a Groupon thinking this was going to help me meet new people. There are more women than men at events. The events were happy hours and did not involve anything else. When enough men didn't show up, the husband and wife would call single mall friends to come to the events. The "matches" are blind dates that you don't know anything about. These people are relentless! I did reply to their site and when they called, I told them I'd changed my mind an to remove me from their list. They just kept calling. Finally I talk to them again and after a 40 min conversation, agree to go in for the initial meeting. We discuss the appt and I clearly state I've put it on my calendar. This was Thursday night and my appt was Saturday. So what happens friday? THEY CALL AGAIN! Same guy I told no in the beginning. People, give me a break! This HARD SELL tactic may work on a lot of people but to some this is just annoying and borderline harassment. What a great way to meet new people and try new things!

As I just joined the service, I did notice they do have an extensive interviewing process and testing process to find the right person for you. Having been on E Harmony and other dating sites, it is refreshing to talk to a live human being for a change. The screening process starts when you first come into the office, continues through the interview, and assures the intentions of the applicant is honorable and correct for the client and the company. I am looking forward to going to several of their functions and possibly their cruise. It looks like a fun group to join and I am looking to have fun and go from there. read more
