Especially Wes who was our point of contact from the start. Wes answered all of our question, was honest and helpful from the get go. Highly recommend working with him or anyone else on the team. The work that was done was beautiful, the bathroom turned out exactly as we imagined it and we can't really ask for more than that. We were interrupted twice because of hurricanes which delayed the work but no one can help that. The biggest issue we had was communication from the team. From what I understood, TEK utilizes third party contractors to do specific jobs like drywall, electric, plumbing, etc. So some times people were coming on days we were told no one was coming. Some days we were told someone was coming at 8 and they'd never show. The reason that was most frustrating was because we had to plan our day around when a contractor would be home, like our daughter's nap schedule, our dog's potty schedule, and even our work schedules. We're lucky enough to have a ton of flexibility but if we hadn't, that really would've dragged the project out. Other than the communication about when the team would be coming though, I have no complaints about TEK or the work that was done. I think the communication bit is an easy fix and I do understand the hurricanes made it especially difficult some weeks. Overall: we got a beautiful bathroom done for a great price, the TEK team was great and the only issue we had was some miscommunication.

This is a kitchen & bathroom reno + flooring for my 750 sqft apartment. I selected my materials at their warehouse during my design session. What was supposed to be a 4 week job is now coming up to 4 months. The majority of these photos are from the final walkthrough June 3rd, 2025. You will see: Mis-match color cabinets installed, which are also not aligned, Incorrect countertop installed, using scrap pieces, Backsplash grout already cracking, Missing hardware for cabinets, Microwave cannot open entirely, and the outlet does not work, Required GFCI outlets missing - major safety hazard, Incorrect color & style bathroom floor tile installed, Mis-match shower tile installed, Shower niche missing, Grout in shower already cracking, Shelving in bathroom vanity missing, Baseboards unfinished and completely missing in areas, Incorrect color LVP flooring installed, Back door hinges are missing screws - major safety hazard, I caught the back door open one night (who knows how many times that has happened), Open wiring in the attic - major fire hazard, These are ONLY the materials & issues that have not been corrected along the way. There were plenty more issues. Addressing them with the owner did not help. Used materials installed from previous jobs without consent (verbal and physical evidence of this). They have requested all invoices early/ before they were due. The 3rd draw was requested early 4 times. On the 4th request personally from the owner, I paid early under his confirmation that cabinets would arrive in 2 days. It took a few weeks before the cabinets were installed, and installed incorrectly. It took another 6 weeks to 'correct', and at the final walkthrough, they are mis-matched colors, not all have shelving, and they are unaligned.

    My wife knocked over a small coffee table that was given to her by her grandmother and it broke in…read more2 pieces. It had a lot of sentimental value to her as she spent many hours with her grandmother as a child. I was able to find another piece of granite to put on the legs but she never felt it was the same. I had kept the 2 pieces after they broke. I recently had an idea to have the original marble cut into 6 smaller 6" x 6" squares so she could put them under a lamp, flower pot or outside someplace. I am going to surprise her with them on her 75th birthday this month. I contacted Granite Solutions in Webster Florida. They were very pleasant and understanding on the phone and promised to get back to me soon. They did so in about a half hour. Although I was originally not going to have it 'finished' they explained the difference to me and how much better it would look so I agreed to have them do the extra steps. Originally I had said I wanted 4 pieces but after hanging up I re-measured it and realized I could get 6 pieces out of the broken stone. They had given me a price and when I explained I could get 2 more pieces out of it they said there would be no extra charge. I felt the price was very reasonable, they were pleasant to deal with and did what I had asked for quickly. I would strongly recommend this company and if I get my countertops replaced they will be my first call.

    I called them on March 2nd to ask some questions about getting a quote and sent an email with all…read morethe specs to get a quote with. Isabelle told me the owner would look at it later and send one. I never heard back. Later in that week my husband was referred to a company and signed a contract with them and gave a deposit. Two days ago, and now almost 3 weeks later, I accidently called Volusia Granite to confirm our measurement appt for today with the other company. Isabella at Volusia granite actually took a confirmation for an appointment that was never made. My husband later that day told me the installer we paid a deposit with, who came to our home, whom we signed a contract with called to confirm. My husband told me I must've called the wrong company. I thought how odd, why would someone confirm a non existing appt. Yes, I did accidently call them and yes, she didn't tell me there was no appt with me in their books. So I called her immediately to explain the misunderstanding and to make sure they didn't send someone out. All is well right? Nope, A hostile owner called me this morning, March 19th,  with a threatening tone, accusing me of giving them the " run around" and how dare I  then secure another company.  What? He never sent me a quote and his receptionist should never have confirmed an appointment that was never made. I rechecked to make sure he never responded to my quote request email. He did not.  It was an honest mistake on my part calling the wrong number and it should've been cleared up immediately. If she was honest, she would have told me that I had no appointment with them. I corrected it two days before anyone from Volusia Granite would come out and hours after I made the call. This should have been no big deal for them. So why did he call me this morning with an extremely aggressive, hostile and threatening tone as if he believed he had me held hostage to give him my business, that he somehow deserved or earned it. I don't understand. He never sent a quote in response to an email I sent requesting one almost 3 weeks ago. This morning's call was nothing short of blind siding harassment. I believe I dodged a bullet as I have never in my 57 years been spoken to like that from a home improvement contractor. In fact, I have never been spoken to like that by anyone, period. It was bad. As he started laying into me with zero self control, I asked him to calm down and let him know he was risking a review of his hostile nature and inappropriate call to me if he didn't calm down his tone and allow for clarity to unfold by asking some simple questions to understand the misunderstanding before making accusations. He plowed ahead even more aggressively laying into me.  I feel assaulted. Just know, he can snap and go to an extremely scary and unprofessional place. I don't even know his name. He presented as the owner. I hope he reflects on what "possessed" him to make that call and speak to me that way. An apology wouldn't make up for how I was spoken too. The tone was so hostile and threatening, I wondered if I should call the police. My husband wanted me too when I told him about the call I received while he was out. I was shaken. My daughter heard the call. She went to learn about them and found a consumer alert notice on yelp that says this company may have abused the legal system by restricting first amendment rights to free speech by making legal threats to yelp reviewers or through putting contractual gag clauses in contracts, It appears this is to hide unfavorable reviews. It appears he has done this before. I wasn't even a customer; just a long lost lead. I gave him a chance to calm down so I could clear up his confusion. I gave him fair notice that I would write a review of his hostility towards me and he only got worse abd I had to hang up as he wasn't listening, just yelling at me. So this is the review you worked hard on me for Volusia Granite. You earned it. Unprofessional doesn't cut it. This was scary.
