We were looking to expand our backyard a little, and remove an old chain link fence that was currently around our yard, and Modern Fence Co. was able to do that.
I called the company's main office in Springdale, a girl took down my information, and Cotton Presley called me back shortly after to talk with me about what I was looking for in a fence. After chatting a bit, he asked me to send him a diagram of what I wanted, so I did.
After sending the diagram, and his team paying my house a visit to get measurements, Cotton gave me my fence quote. Just as an FYI, I didn't get any quotes from any other fence installers, so I can't judge how competitive their prices are, but the price Modern Fence Co. quoted me seemed reasonable.
One of the downfalls of the whole process was the time I had to spend waiting to get my fence installed. I had to wait three weeks to get it installed (I'm an impatient millennial, so I want that instant gratification; I don't have patience!), but in their defense, it was the early summer so I'm sure that is a very busy time.
When the installation day finally came, they dug the holes and installed the posts first. Those had to set for a few days to ensure that they were stable. After a few days, they came back and installed the pickets and rails on the fence. That took a day for them to complete.
Once everything was done, I had a few fixes that I requested they fix, like quite a few missing nails on some pickets, and some cuts on the pickets that shouldn't have been there. I saw both of these issues at separate times, but they came back both times and fixed them promptly.
In regards to the fence that I had installed, it was the standard cedar picket fence with one gate, that works great. I'm very happy with the work that the team did on creating and installing my fence. read more
