The dumpster held a tonne of stuff that we were looking to get rid of from our property including scrap metal, broken concrete, landscape waste and broken decking. Occasionally they pick them up with the garbage truck arms crushing them. It's been 1 month and more 12 phone calls to the Town of Amherst and Modern Disposal to get them replaced. They finally sent dinky little garbage cans that I cannot use. My original cans were 45 gallon Rubbermaid. Check with your town refuse department but most people do not know they are allowed to put out their personal garbage cans in addition to the Modern Disposal totes. Be aware they may crush them with the truck pickup arms. If you want them replaced then be ready for long term bureaucracy and in action.
