I have been holding off forever on writing this review. The reason? I'm going for a continuous…read moreservice and I wanted to make sure my first impression of the place was legitimate. After going for many months, nearly a year in fact, I can tell you that it was. Evita Med Spa is fantabulous (that's fantastic and fabulous all rolled into one). Anyhow, I found this place after moving to Tallahassee and deciding that I wanted to continue doing laser hair removal treatments. I had already had good results in one area down in South Florida, so I knew already what worked and what did not. I had had my original treatments with the Candela Gentle Max Pro and was seeking that laser. As it turns out, Evita Med Spa has the next version: the Candela Max Pro Plus. Needless to say, I signed up, and upon doing so, I met Marilyn, who is sweet as pie and makes laser hair removal appointments a breeze or as a breeze they can be. I still wind up going with numbing cream and taking some painkillers because that's just me, but I do have to say that these appointments I may admittedly even look forward to. I've had wonderful results with them and I'm slowly and surely not needing to shave nearly as often, if at all. The med spa is pristine. I think if they've been open over a year I'd be surprised. Everything is the latest and they even have Saturday appointments, something that not all med spas offer. They tend to have a lot of specials and they do more than laser hair removal. They offer body contouring, massages, and the like, but at least in my case, I've only done laser hair removal treatments there (at least thus far). Very happy with this med spa. I've recommended it heavily to friends in town. Intending on going for as long as I'm getting laser hair removals (and possibly more - who knows the future really).

It's always a tradition to get pedicures when I'm hanging out with my bestie. This is the 2nd time…read morewe've been in Tallahassee and we decided to try out a different spa from our visit last year. I found this place online and was sold based on the website alone. I went back and forth via email trying to make appointments for pedicures. They don't seem to check their email often so that was a little frustrating. Oh, and they don't have a spa menu on their website so they may want to look into that. I finally called them to book the appointments and they needed a credit card to book. But they won't charge. You can pay any way you want the day of service. The spa is located in the bustling Midtown area. The entrance leads you to their front area which is the store part. They sell lots of high quality health, spa and beauty items and accessories. These aren't your run of the mill drugstore brands so expect to spend extra $$. There is a door that leads to the spa area and pedicure/manicure stations. It's a nice sized room with 2 pedicure chairs with the most comfortable chairs I've ever had a pedi in! There are windows looking out on the main street and I loved the natural light coming in. There is also a chandelier hanging which makes this place pretty luxe. Kayla did my pedi and she had that very important skill of chatting while doing my pedi which was great since she didn't fall behind or take longer than the norm. The techs were also nice enough to squeeze us in for last minute manicures which was super appreciated! It ended up costing $65 for both a mani and pedi before tip. Money very well spent in my opinion. I think this may be our designated Tallahassee spa for the future! Check them out if you plan to be in the area but make sure to book them early for spa services.

For someone who woks a standard office job it's frustrating to feel like you need to take off during the week for a pedi. I got a great pedi here the one day that I went...but just can't take the time off during the week to get another. Shame. I don't like Royal because even after booking with a specific person they change you to someone else.
