Fervor is…read morea Michelin-recommended restaurant within walking distance of our hotel, and we had no trouble securing a lunch reservation online for the next day. We started with a tortilla de papa y cebolla, a local dish which was definitely generous enough to share among four people. For the mains, I had the tenderloin lomo, and my husband went with the asado especial short rib. I ended up liking his choice better with a bit of fat made it extra flavorful and he happily finished my tenderloin piece, so it all worked out perfectly. We also shared a plate of grilled vegetables for good measure. The bread basket was excellent, especially with the accompanying sauces. While we're not steak connoisseurs, we found the meal absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The restaurant itself is stunning. Don't forget to look up at the chandelier, which is decorated with hanging spoons and forks!

Happily, it was just a block and half walk from our hotel. This was our third night and we were going to take advantage of the Argentina beef. The prior evening had also been at a steakhouse (There is another review for that one.) This place was amazing and we had relatively early reservations for BA. We showed up at 7 and by 8:30 the place was packed and people were going to the upstairs dinign area. This is a beautiful restaurant with an incredible aura about it. Easy to tell who the regulars were as they were called by first name. We tried to chnage up our appitizers from the first night. Here is our meal selection: Appitizers: Plata de Jamon crudi Italiano (platter of cured ham) Salchicha parrillera hecha en casa (Homemade grilled sausage Main: Pichana: Beef top sirloin Potato fries Dessert: Flan: Egg custard This was an amzing meal... Let me repeat... amazing!!! It is true what they say about Argentian Beef. It is incredible. There is an amazing flavor that I have never seen replicated anywhere, The service was incredible-professional. If I return to Buenos Aires, every night will be steak night. There is q reason why this is a Michelin Restaurant. KUDOs to the team at Fervor

La Cabrera in Palermo deserves the spotlight. While Don Julio gets most of the international hype (and asks for a credit card just to hold a reservation), I actually preferred La Cabrera. No credit card required, and the dining experience felt more relaxed, yet just as -- if not more -- delicious. Highlights: the variety of breads and the abundance of spreads. They give you different ones to start, and then another set with your steak -- which was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The food is where this place really shines. On the downside, the seating is tight, and the repeated tip reminders were a bit much. I counted four or five mentions that "tip is not included," including when the check arrived, while tapping the card, and even after payment. I completely understand the cultural importance of tipping, but it started to feel like a hard sell. Still, La Cabrera stands out as a great option in Palermo. If you're looking for a premium steakhouse experience without the fuss of high-demand reservations, this is your spot.

What Argentinian restaurant doesn't know how to cook ribeye?, obviously La Cabrera (its Cartagena Colombia location). Meat was dry and tasteless unlike properly cooked Argentinian I've had in BA On the positive side the provoleta and chorizo were delicious. Service was very good. Just not worth it based on the poor quality of ribeye

The Mr. and Mrs. Smith integration is odd, as we can book stays there through the Hyatt website but they are not fully a part of the World of Hyatt. Meaning that while nights count towards elite status, you don't really get the full benefits of your loyalty to Hyatt at Mr. and Mrs. Smith properties. But in my experience, you're able to get at least *something*. Whether it be bottles of water upon check-in, a room upgrade, or late checkout... At this hotel however, I got nothing. I might as well have booked my stay on Expedia. They tried to charge me for water left in my room but gladly I hadn't used it. They refused to offer early check in or late check out. The rooms were old and the electrical light switches were poorly maintained. In my room, someone tried turning on or off a switch and the switch fell back into the wall, meaning I couldn't use it and had to plug and unplug a lamp to get the floor light to work. The flush mechanism on the toilet is on the wall and for some reason you have to put the weight of your entire body on it to get it to flush. Also, every day the hotel key would demagnetize, requiring that I go to the front desk once a day to get them to reset my keys. The hotel was fine. Average. I would give it a solid three on a normal scale. But being a Mr. and Mrs. Smith property, they hold themselves out as a boutique hotel offering simple luxuries at a standard about the typical chain hotels. On this scale, the hotel fails and I would give it two stars. There is nothing about the service or space here that will make you feel special. You pay for a room. They take your money. That's it.

We stayed here a year ago and it was just as amazing and awe-inspiring as the last time. Last year we stayed in the newer building of the hotel, but this time we got to stay in the Palacio, and it was every bit as wonderful as I had imagined. We got to stay in a suite that had a great view of the Maison next door and every touch in our suite was dripping with opulence and chic details. I know it's odd to point out the door handles, but oh my word, the door handles were so nice! As with all stays at Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau, you get access to some great views. The courtyard view is mind-blowingly stunning. The grounds are so meticulously landscaped. We had breakfast every morning onsite at Giola. To get there from the Palacio, you can walk through the subterranean art gallery and just be blown away by how such a special, unique place exists. Palacio Duhau is also well located in Recoleta. We started many of our adventures walking from the hotel to our destinations; another perk of this hotel. In the realm of luxury hotels, Park Hyatts are hard to beat- it truly feels like a vacation staying at such a nice property where everything comes together so beautifully. We'll definitely be back!

On our next stay to Buenos Aires, I would love to stay in the original palace building.
