MODE is a stunning gym where you feel energized to have a great workout. The trainers and staff are SUPER friendly and take the time to get to know you, so that each time you come to the gym it's super welcoming! Moe, the owner, especially takes the time to know each of his members, ensuring they're getting everything they need/want out of their workout experience. I have a pretty standard workout and I never feel pressured to do anything otherwise ... that being said, the trainers are always so helpful and willing to teach you new things if you want to! It's more of an internal motivator rather than feeling "pressured" The Facility itself and the equipment are top notch. To boot, they hand out cool towels with energizing oils/scent in them while you're working out. It's a nice touch. Overall, I highly recommend this gym! read more

Guys, I've found a new favorite gym in the city I reached out to @getinmode to try out a class and wow did it exceed expectations! ‍This was the most HIGH TECH, clean, beautiful gym I have ever seen. ‍The team was BEYOND nice, showed me the whole studio and it is HUGE! They have personal training program, a scale that measures your BMI and the facility is absolutely unbelievable!!! ‍There are a ton of classes you can take from HIT, to boxing and booty bootcamps...not to mention all of their machines connect to an APP that you can keep track of your reps! It's INSANELY COOL!!! If you are looking for a new gym, PLEASE check this place out! read more

Best Gym in Chicago! I joined Mode 3 months ago and have already lost 15 pounds and gained 20% more strength thanks to the group classes and personal training from Asef and Moe. This is the cleanest most serious gym that I've experienced. The staff is made up of nationally ranked fitness competitors who are positive and encouraging. The equipment is second to none all brand new and state of the art. I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to workout out in a professional, downtown earth, and enthusiastic workout environment. It's like golds gym Venice beach meets a luxury spa!!!!! read more

I love this gym! Im kind of a gym rat so working out in a space that is a perfect balance of beauty and function is both motivating and enjoyable. The staff is fantastic and always helpful. I had a training session with Moe and it was one of the best workouts I have had in a long time. If you are looking for a real gym to reach your goals Mode is the place read more

Came by to try MODE. Very pleasant experience with the manager Sebastian. All the equipment was great and the facilities very clean/organized. At first, was a little thrown off by the dim blue lights but adjusted fairly quickly. For the price and a 24 hour club, I think it s an excellent gym to join. Traffic when I did a trial visit was low. I enjoyed it and would consider joining! You can register for a guest visit online free to try it out. read more

Hands down one of the best gyms I have ever been to! Prior to joining Mode, I was at a giant global gym where you just feel like a number. All of the staff and trainers at Mode are amazing and make you feel so welcomed and apart of the family from day 1. The facility is super clean and the equipment is all new/top of the line. They have anything you could imagine needing and more! Overall, the vibes are great! If you get a chance - definitely check it out! read more

Mode is favorite gym in Chicago. It possesses a unique combo of being modern hip and luxurious but small and personalized. The classes like strike fit are included in the membership and are awesome. The personal training is top notch from well educated trainers. You can tell the gym was designed by a fitness pro and not a corporate cookie cutter from all the little attention to details and the fact they have all the best equipment. They even have chilled eucalyptus towels, steam rooms, cryotherapy, and STYKU body scanning to track your progress. I'm so happy I joined! read more

So basically let me sum it up good vibes great atmosphere all brand new machines the music is killing the game it's like they got teisto in there with all his girlfriends lololo big shot out to Mike for signing me up OMG I FORGOT U CAN FREEZE YOURSELF IN THIS CRAZY MACHINE read more

I've been working out at Mode for two months now and I've had a great experience! The gym itself is never too packed or overcrowded, and it's open 24/7 which definitely helps. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they all show that they're very happy to be a part of the team at Mode. I see the owner at the gym constantly and he's always very positive and upbeat; great energy to be around especially for a workout. I've been using personal training through the gym as well which has been a fantastic experience. My trainer Anthony is extremely knowledgeable; he took time to go over the basics first and really explains why each workout we do is important in relation to my fitness goals. Overall I've been very happy with my experience and my progress, and I'm excited to keep going! read more

I'd like to start by saying that I think a gym is like a pair of shoes...what fits one person may not for the next person, but you never know until you try it on. With that being said, I've gone to many gyms throughout my life. Gyms ranging from big fancy corporate gyms and small local neighborhood spots. When I first came across Mode, I'm not going to lie...I judged the heck out of it! But my curiosity got the best of me and I went to check it out. Upon walking in I said, this place is a joke, boy was I WRONG! I ended up signing up for personal training, I let other priorities get in the way and was totally out of shape. No only does my trainer, Amanda who is a, kick my butt every time we meet; but when I'm working out on my own and potentially doing something wrong the other trainers or even the owner will come over and help guide you. Every time I come the staff knows me by first name but more so they are so friendly and willing to help you, if you want that or they will let you be. Either way, I feel that this place has become a part of my community and they all want to see me succeed as much as I do. I can certainly say that I never got that from other big box gyms I've been to around here. I'm satisfied with my decision to move my membership to Mode and would encourage you to check it out. The owner is SO passionate about helping people train that it comes through once you get to know him and he builds that type of credibility in his staff. So just remember, just like you would t want someone to judge you by only a cover...don't judge this place by its cover. I've lost almost 10 pounds but gained so much more in strength and just learned how to throw a few boxing punches! read more

Came in to check out the gym as I was enticed by the website and the promotional content I saw on social media. Seeing as it is a boutique gym, I was really hoping this would not be one of those gyms full of vain trainers/ meatheads but one that is welcoming, client-focused and professional. First impressions are everything... I stopped in unannounced and asked for a brief tour to see what machines and amenities they had to offer. I was greeted by Moe. He was nice enough to walk me through the gym explaining their offerings and pointing out their equipment. The gym itself was extremely clean and state-of-the-art due to it being new (only open 11 months). They have lots of versatile machines along with double rack of dumbells up to 100lbs or classes if that's your style. They also have some unique amenities such as 3D body scanning and cryotherapy. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the communication and lack of customer service I received when I started asking more targeted questions about pricing and a free trial period. I felt as though after I asked a question my questions were being critiqued and his answers were somewhat patronizing. For example, I had asked what their trial period looks like as in 1 free day, 1 free week, etc. He laugh and went onto say they aren't just any gym like LA Fitness, they're an 'exclusive' gym. Which is fine but could have done without the snide tone and putting down other gyms. Unfortunately after that brief encounter, it confirmed my initial impressions. I'm definitely willing to pay a premium for amenities and equipment but not if it lacks professionalism and customer service. This was a disappointment due to having family members who work in the fitness/ strength and conditioning space who strive to present a different image than the industry's stereotypes. Might be someone else's cup of tea, just not mine. read more

Let me start off by saying if I still resided in Chicago, I'd be a member of this gym! My wife and I were excited to see this gym when we were home for the holidays and in plain terms, it's an incredible facility. The second you walk inside, a clean smell just hits you which is definitely something you wish for a place full of sweaty people. The equipment, bathrooms, and amenities are definitely top tier quality. In addition, the attention to detail here is beyond what you'd expect. The weights are always properly organized, plates are stacked in their correct location, and you just feel right! The list of pros can go on forever. Some may find the space small in comparison to other gyms, but that's what I feel makes MODE so great. It makes things more accessible and easy to maneuver around. If a machine you require isn't there, the staff is more than willing to assist you in finding an exercise to replace. Especially the owner, Moe. He makes the place and staff be very approachable so you shouldn't worry about being judged for not knowing what's going on. Overall, I can't speak highly enough of how much my wife and I enjoyed working out here. Hopefully they can expand to an area near me because I'll definitely become a member! read more

I'm basically the pickiest person on earth. Ive trained with different trainers for a decade. This place challenged me to my core. Moe is the best there is. He means business. The stretches at the end of workouts are to die for. It's such an awesome neighborhood place that cares about its customers. Need your car jumped? Need a realtor referral? Need the best body of your life? This is the place. Just the right size gym, clean, latest equipment, lots of smiles. read more

As a personal trainer, I have been to many gyms and never have I met a manager as rude as Sebastian. I called the night before to set up a tour to see if the gym would be a good fit for me and the man on the phone told me to come in, check it out, and get a workout in. When I arrived, I was told to have a seat and someone will be right with me, and after waiting 15 minutes, Sebastian finally gave me a tour around the gym. It was much smaller than I pictured even for a boutique style gym. After I sat down to go over the pricing, I was shocked that they were charging $99 per month for such little amenities where you can go to Equinox and get a membership for only $50 more per month and triple the service. I stated that the price was much higher than I expected but, I would still like to workout and really get a feel for the gym... then he noted that the only way I can work out is if I sign the contract right now with his exact words being "if its out of your budget, it out of your budget so there's no point of you working out here." When he stated this I was appalled, as someone who used to go to Equinox in LA it definitely was not out of my budget, I just did not think that gym was worth the hefty price tag for such little amenities with a low level of customer service. Especially since the man on the phone stated that I would be able to get a workout in so to be told I could not shows how the management style lacked professionalism. Being a trainer, there is no way that I am going to sign a contract without working out at the gym beforehand to get an overall feel for the atmosphere and to see which kind of machines are available. In all honesty, you're better off paying the extra money and working out at Equinox instead of this Walmart version of a luxury gym. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

I was interested in receiving a free day pass to explore this gym on a Sunday. The next day I received a text I didn't respond too, and 5 phone calls about scheduling a time to come in. I'm a trainer at xsport fitness I actually wanted to have the pass opportunity to come in at my own convenience because I was interested in going to them for cryotherapy and thought having the one day pass would be nice since the gym isn't necessarily close to me. These phone calls have continued daily since. I had been texted again and when I said I am no longer interested at the moment especially due to the excessive amount of phone calls. Their response back from Sebastian was "actually I only texted you twice and emailed you once due to YOUR own request for information" I found that responds rude and unnecessary. And since that wonderful conversation I have continued to receive daily calls and another text! So moral of the story don't contact them for a free pass to the gym unless you like being harassed about joining every single day. read more

I have commitment issues when it comes to working out. Pair that with my irregular work schedule (I alternate evening and night shifts) and I would basically just not go to the gym at all of it wasn't for this gym being open 24/7. There is not another gym in the area where this is even an option. Besides that, I enjoy the atmosphere here. The staff remembers me and are always helpful and encouraging. Also the amenities don't hurt - never been to a gym that offers styku and cryo. read more

What started out as a great gym, turned into XSport 0.5. If you want to pay double the price of most gyms for half of the amenities, then this is your gym. If you want to be seen as another bank account instead of a client, this is your gym. At first glance, it looks like a better gym than XSport, but after you get past all the tacky black and gold, you can see mode for what it truly is: a cheap knock off of XSport. Not only does mode have less equipment and floor space than an XSport express, it offers much less in terms of classes, personal training and overall fitness knowledge. With only one room tucked all the way in the back for classes, it's clear that offering multiple ways for people to better themselves is not a priority. And with mode's revolving door of staff and trainers, it's clear they can't offer a personable touch. One of the cornerstones of a good trainer-trainee relationship is familiarity, but with a constantly changing roster, clients aren't able to form this bond. For a business in hospitality, mode only cares about money. Speaking about hospitality, mode touts exclusivity, as in there are a limited number of memberships. This is true, but what they don't tell you is that they judge whether or not you fit the image they're trying to portray. You can go in, be able to afford everything, but if you don't have a certain look, moe can reject your membership. They'll break it to you softly, but in the end, they'll tell you no. On the other end of the spectrum, if you're buddy-buddy with moe, he'll give you deep discounts on personal training, free parking, membership, the works. So, when moe says he can't budge on the prices, he means he just can't budge for you. They tout their styku and cryotherapy as if it weren't cheaper to go to a place that specializes in those services. With a little research, you would find mode's prices are not comparable to most other vendors that specialize in cryotherapy or body composition scanning. Also, by going to those places you don't run the risk of being locked into their ridiculous contracts, which now require 2 months notice before cancellation. The writing has been on the walls since they started implementing the revised cancellation policy and advertising on Groupon. For a place that claims to be the Ferrari of gyms, they sure aren't portraying that image by resorting to Groupon. It's all good for a new business to advertise on Groupon, but they've been open for more than half a year. They initially decided against advertising on Groupon, then went for it to try to sucker more people. This is a sinking ship that is just trying to make as much money while it can. read more

This gym is AWFUL! First of all if you have any aversion to smell, don't even think about joining this place. They spray it with the most awful smell that is suffocating. Secondly, they charge a very steep price for such a tiny gym. West loop athletic club is significantly cheaper and has a pool, yoga studio, spin studio, etc. The staff here is pretty rude as well. My brother just moved into the neighborhood and asked to try the gym out fora day to see if he liked it and they wouldn't even let him use it for one workout. All around terrible gym, awful smell, bad service! read more

I highly recommend MODE gym to individuals of any fitness level. I recently joined and have felt super motivated and invited here.

I have no words to describe this place. I'm no picky at all about how a gym should look like but these people took everything to the next level! The gym is top notch. I am definitely not a regular gym attendee, so when I walked in I was overwhelmed. But this gym is a cut above. The people (Sebastian, Lilly, Tatiana) at the front desk are very helpful and welcoming. This is a gym I feel at home. The machines are great and my trainer, Amanda makes the trip count! I never leave unhappy! Like I said..the gym is not my fav place. In a few months they have worked with me to overcome obstacles I haven't overcome in the past. I am losing weight, working on my diet and the cryo helps. Moe has a wonderful gym and friendly staff. More gyms should be like this one!!! read more

Just joined, and a wonderful experience so far! If you are skeptical of the mood lighting and vibe (like I was at first) - don't be. It's honestly a great environment, and I was blown away by the thoughtfulness of the amenities. Everything you need to feel comfortable, motivated, and get in shape. Details: - You CAN try it out without buying a membership, just be nice and ask - Membership is price upon request, but very, very reasonable (less than we were given by the crossfit and cardio boxing places nearby) - Membership includes classes (yoga, cardio boxing, etc.) and one hour personal training session - 24/7 access with staff always present - Incredible, modern equipment - Clean restrooms with saunas, free daily lockers (no lock required) - They have their own phone app with pass to scan in, class schedules, your payment history, etc. Notes: - What you do pay extra for: cryotherapy, additional private training sessions, and specialty classes like boxing (but a cardio version is included in regular membership.) - You have to give 60 days notice to cancel your membership - Signup process takes a while, involving talking to someone on the phone about the membership, then scheduling a visit and registration Overall, I'm very satisfied with our choice of gym and am optimistic that we will actually get results at this place! Tbd on the outcome. read more

I have been working out at Mode since it first opened in April 2018. Unfortunately, my busy travel schedule keeps me out of they gym more than I'd like. I've been very impressed with the professionalism and attitudes of the entire staff. Gym cleanliness and locker room facilities play a huge role in my satisfaction with a facility. I can't express enough how clean the staff keeps the equipment. Moe has been a class act since he opened the gym and I look forward to taking advantage of additional training sessions and classes in the future. While only able to take advantage of one cryotherapy and training session so far - these definitely remain high on my list. A must visit if you're looking to get away from the overcrowded gyms throughout the City. A very happy client since opening! read more

I'm glad I joined this gym a few months ago. It's been a wonderful experience for me, the hours don't get any better (24/7), the equipment is top notch and the staff is so friendly. Jason, Moe, Sebastian to name a few of the staff members here always greet you with a smile. It's also great to note that they offer a reduced parking fee in the garage next door for members at $2 for the first 2 hours, you won't find that anywhere else in the west loop! read more

Mode Body Boutique is not a gym, nor a health club. Rather it's a motivational haven for all fitness levels. Whether you are just starting out or an advanced exercise enthusiast, this is one facility in Chicago you have to try. The experience from the time you enter to the time you leave would rival a 4 seasons hotel. The owner Moe and all the staff members are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They truly all have a passion for health/fitness and changing people lives. I'm impressed with the way this gym looks, feels, and smells! I'm not sure why people are hating this gym is spotless! The equipment here are 5 stars! It's super clean, fitness instructors actually do know what they are talking about. I started out at 202 and down to 175. Literally everyone I've talked to is super nice and passionate fitness people. I'm not sure what else you'd want from a fitness club that truly cares about your personal fitness goals. I've been going to MODE since April when it opened and it's changing my life! Moe, the owner, is so passionate about this gym and it motivates the staff and clients. Celi, my personal trainer, is continuing to challenge me and keeping our sessions exciting (and kick my ass)! The classes are high intensity and easy to follow along- Lillie, Catalina, Amanda, Labake and are my favorites! Even though the people are what make this place special, the facility gets you in beast MODE! It is brand new, beautiful, modern and user-friendly. So much better than Xsport!!! Being a boutique gym, Mode is smaller but it has all of the equipment you need with none of the waiting around, it never seems to be overcrowded which is a huge plus. It is also drastically cleaner than any other gym I have belonged to. Sebastian and Moe (Manager and Owner) are both great and somehow seem to know everyone by name which is impressive. This gym is amazing! I have been a member for about five months and have not regretted a second. It is far from a big box gym where you are a number. Here everyone knows you by name and treats you with respect and kindness. When I first joined I was out of shape and intimidated by the appearance. I was so wrong! The staff are motivating and encouraging. With the help of Anthony, Jake and Rick, I have managed to drop fat and gain muscle. They inspire me every day to stay focused and push ahead. Other staff members, some whose names I don't know, also go out of their way to commend you on your progress. They keep the entire gym clean not matter what time of the day you go. The equipment and locker rooms are always spotless. Joining this gym over the other gyms that I toured was the best decision I could have made.
