I have spent over $5,000 with this agency. I am totally dissatisfied even shocked that I have not received my money's worth. My experience with Mode Elle made me realize that Audra uses high pressure sales tactics to convince people to pay out money upfront without anything very promising in return. This especially applies to the Canadian Model and Talent Convention in which I didn't attend. This was because I had to pay around $2000 upfront even if I didn't attend with no refund whatsoever. I was told by e-mail that before attending this convention that it was an absolute requirement to sign a three year contract to stay with Mode Elle before being certain if I would get auditions. If you are with a reputable agency, they would get you work through other agencies without having to charge you any money up front like Mode Elle did. And there are definitely models and actresses there that will "make it big" but it's the ones that have been given false hopes, false promises, false dreams, and leave with broken hearts, and huge disappointment that make this agency wrong. The stories of success that Audra promotes are mainly through her agency, Mode Elle and you have to ask yourself would they have been successful without this convention? Most likely yes. I trusted this woman after her sweet talking us into her agency, but the expenses never stopped, there was always a reason to spend more and more money. First came the Professional Female Modelling, Acting and Self Enhancement course which cost $960.00 which is mandatory to take if you want to be represented by Mode Elle. There was also the website fee of over $160.00 and the Canadian Model and Talent Convention where Audra mentioned that only a select few would be chosen to go but it seemed that everyone that auditioned was going! What a money making scam. Every photoshoot also cost me over $400. I never got a call for any auditions, local fashion shows, or call backs where anything beneficial would happen for us. It was all about spending money with this woman. After doing a bit of research is when I found out how big of a scam Mode Elle really was. What a shame I didn't find out until it was too late; I had already paid the majority of the fees for the Canadian Model and Talent Convention, and if I hadn't paid the remainder fees a collection agency would have been sent after me. I felt pressured by Mode Elle's high pressure sales tactics to pay the remaining $650.00 after I had paid my first installment of $478.00. This money I spent had drained me of my finances even further. Clients that need models, look else where. Ninety percent of the girls Mode Elle represents are not even eligible to be modelling; they are just chosen because Audra can make money off of them and they get lucky even if they make it to the modelling management division. Most likely for 90% of these girls this will never happen. My advice: Stay far away from Mode Elle Model and Talent Agency, and the Canadian Model and Talent Convention! Audra Anderson is the owner of Mode Elle, and the President of CMTC! There are much better ways for you to get discovered; Mode Elle and CMTC is not the way to launch your career! We have been with Mode Elle for for almost 14 yrs. My daughter started there at age 4 and is almost 18 and is still a part of Mode Elle. It is because of them that my daughter started acting. She has been in commercials, pilots for new shows, background, voice work. She has also auditioned for some big movies. Unfortunately they picked someone else. The classes that Mode Elle offer are very important if this is the path that you want to take. My daughter has great self-esteem, and has a positive outlook and feels confident. They also have professional photographers that come down and take great pictures. You can't get pictures like this at Wal-Mart!! Belleville and the surrounding areas have some great talent. Thank goodness we have Mode Elle to guide us in the right direction. CMTC is a great venue to meet agents from all over the world. Where else would you be able to do this. This business isn't for everyone. If you are bad mouthing this business its most likely because you wish that you could be an actress or model. But you just don't have the "it" factor. Some of these model's are getting contracts and travelling to Asia and Europe. Amazing!! I would recommend Mode Elle to anyone who wants to model, act or just wants to work on themselves. You are very far from the truth "Samantha R." My daughter has been with Mode Elle for almost 8 years now and I couldn't imagine what she would be like without them. The courses do infact benefit greatly, not only on her modeling/acting skills but also on her confidence and social skills. Audra, Amie, and the rest of the Mode Elle staff are beyond professional and have helped my daughter and I out a great deal. We appreciate them more than they will ever know, and they are too modest to take credit for it. My daughter has also attended CMTC 4 consecutive years (with many more to come) and has been more successful than we could've ever imagined. With a HUGE thanks to all of Mode Elle's professional and experienced training, my daughter, at only 14 years of age, brought home the Grand Overall Model Award for her division (remember, she is competing with the top models in all of Canada). Pretty impressive and rewarding for all of Mode Elle's hard work. She recieved many callbacks from agents all around the world, whom we still keep in contact with today. Just to get that exposure alone is something any rising star would kill for a chance to have. Not only did she put her name out in the modeling and acting industry, she gained a positive outlook on life and gained many lifetime friends. We can't thank Audra, Amie, and the Mode Elle Staff enough for everything they've done for my daughter. Anyone who would go against them has absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of Audra, Mode Elle, or the industry itself. It's saddeing to see someone so inferior try to bring down a business so successful for absolutely no reason. We hope you meet with Audra, then you too can see what a wonderful person she is. I sent a request, via online form, inquiring about the modelling workshop for children and did not receive a reply. A year later, sent another request and received a reply many weeks later...was told my message went to junk box (not very good for a professional business who require all correspondence to go through online form). The receptionist would not give me any simple information over the phone regarding dates, times, requirements and fee for course. I was then told I would need to bring my children in for an interview on a set date. I live an hour away and was not going to subject myself or my children to an interview for a course that accepts everyone. I could not get ANY info from this girl and I knew right away that this sounded like a scam. I was not looking for an agent for my children to model...I just wanted to pay my money and take a self improvement course.
