The system treats everyone as a number, I have been in the chambers and have witnessed horse trading between lawyers and the prosecutor. I have watched Lennox in court, he is detail orientated. To the extent where he approached me to determine why I was in the court during his trial. I was dressed in a suit and he thought I might be a witness(which means I could/should not be in the court room). His client got off. You want to know why. Because a witness did not disclose the truth about what was happening, in this case drug use. Lennox turned that witness and won for his client.

He asked me such questions wanted truth in regards to questions but denied me the benefit of proving myself ,, he also asked me was who exactly was " baby sitting" my children at the time of asking me these other off the wall irrelevant personal questions,,,, also he asked if I was in " relationship" meaning "intimately" with my child's father!!!!!! , as well as how much support does my childs father pay me!!!!!! ,also my ethnic back ground was asked about and a factor as he put it in regards to representing me , he even asked me if the pot available at the mohawk shops was good or not !!! All the most creepist most irrelevant questions asked by a lawyer hired to defend an wrongful assault charge trial .. Alll questions that had nothing to do with my case what so ever infact he stated that he would not or could not defend my case if i was applying the natìve womans act to my criminal case rep rights , he also did not obtain my disclosure in a timely fashion he did not obtain it at all.. i have applied for it well over 2 months ago the disclosure he claims is essential he refused to acknowledge or discuss any of my evidence untill this disclosure is received as soon as I assertively asked him what was taking so long with disclosure ,  & why all the personal questions irrelevant to my case questioned why he would not agree to speak to actual signifigant  facts of my case matter , and questioned documents he had his secretary strongly encouraging I sign which were documents she stated I had to sign to have Mr Picart represent me in my absence at which time when she pressured me to sign them I stated that I'd rather just attend the court dates and record all hearings to be on the safe side thanks but no thanks to signing to have picart defend in my absence after all of the strange personal questions and the fact that Lennox Picart after giving me his cell number told me not to message him in regards to my case lol i was as legit and assertive as it gets well with in my rights I stated it rather not sign anything and attend all further hearings and record them in which I do have a right to record all hearings and correspondences and have done so... ,but however the man Mr Picart suddenly QUIT on me, I did not say or do anything inappropriate to deserve his negligence as a result of his biased unlawful personal interogation of course I had legal questions and apprehensions in regards to my case which is a wrongful assault charge the last correspondence with him on record which was thursday it is now tuesday concludes he was still willing to work with me but however for some unknown reason he decided yesterday which was Monday to quit on me and leave me a innocent person who hired him for legal defense to fend for myself this lawyer had no business putting my personal matters on trial to determine the quality of my defence. I will report him to law SOCIETY  RECORD THIS LAWYERS EVERY WORD LIKE I HAVE , REPORT and also expose HIS MISCONDUCT . What a let down to be so profiled , discriminated against and neglected in regards to justice by your own lawyer .. I wish the police however interogated me as he did in regards to this wrongful charge in first place I only called them multiple times to cooperate with the investigation I was the one assaulted and my car destructed while giving a violent troubled loved one a ride . The officer Simon Owen who charged me is also a misconduct he did not follow up to my multpul msgs reporting the crime in the past he charged me with harassment and intimidation for serving legal family court papers in which the court did not convict me of but none the less it caused trauma in my life at the time much like this current wrongful charge of assault I was forced into a position to defend myself and property as I for no reason was viciously attacked .. This particular officer did not investigate any matter but rather seems to be on some hateful witch hunt at the expense of the tax payers he causes me p.t stress disorder !!! the injustice the corruption is a serious oppression in society because of professionals like this that run the shirade of corruption rather than exhibit Integrity and justice

The dread of every mother is to get a call from the police with the words "come pick up your son, he is under arrest". I contacted Aitken Law firm a few days later, having talked to a string of lawyers and paralegals and finally I talked to the amazing paralegal, Jami Sanftleben. I have no words to describe the professionalism of Jami. He explained the case from the perspective of the police records, from the perspective of Criminal law, from the perspective of future employment for my son and from the perspective of scenarios if he is caught again under the same or a different act. My son is a black man and this is an absolutely terrifying experience for me as a mother. How would this affect my son if he is caught speeding and has another encounter with the police? Can they pull up this record and be biased against him for a simple speeding ticket? How would it affect him if he were to apply for a federal position? How would it affect him if he were to travel to the United States? Can the charges be fought in court and what are the possible outcomes? A whole string of questions were thrown at Jami for nearly 30 minutes. Because I had also read extensively about these charges, he was able to answer the questions from the perspective of all parties concerned: the police, federal and municipal authorities, travel and immigration, future convictions, records and databases. Before i talked to Jami, I had pretty much accepted the idea that my son would probably never overcome this. Black men have to be at the top of the game academically (which my son was) for them to just be the "average" Joe, a counsel I had given my son throughout his life. Now there was one more thing against him that he had worked so hard academically to overcome. It was simply a devastating event. But the professionalism and thoroughness and gentleness of Jami went a long way to be able to see things as they are and less according to my fears and projections. Frankly, the more experienced Criminal lawyers I had talked to were not able to answer these questions as Jami had. There was just a complete thoroughness about Jami that is hard to explain, a clarity and complete composure mixed with a big dose of kindness. Im very grateful to Jami. If you have a case that requires the hands of a paralegal, you will be in excellent hands with Jami. He has my deepest respect for his humanity and my highest admiration for his thoroughness and depth of knowledge. Thank you very much, Jami!

My case was pushed off to 2 paralegals without my knowledge and I was to communicate with just them. In the end she wanted me to pled guilty. I spent thousands of dollars when I would have had the same outcome if I had done it on my own. Overall a very disturbing experience on a very serious matter and I would not recommend them.
