The wi-fi was available in the rooms. The hosts were extremely helpful. The landlady offered us a great assist with choosing the best ski center, buses or other facilities. She was also eager to give us hints about interesting events in the neighborhood. Hittisau is a charming town surrounded by the small and medium sized ski centers. As we went there for skiing purposes we had no time for other attractions as exhibitions, women museum, walking tours or many other amusements (which apparently seem to be very compelling). Ferienhof Dürlinde is a perfect spot for both, families with children looking for calmness and young, active travelers who are into sports. It can be easily reached by car or by train from a nearby town (Dornbirn). We definitely recommend you Ferienhof Dürlinde and we are looking forward to come back!

The panoramic views of Eisbee Lake and the surrounding landscape are truly awe-inspiring, making the journey to the top a memorable one." Appropriate responses to completing the 15-minute cable car ride to the top of this mountain with a group of 20 other people include: exclaiming, "Zugspitze," taking a deep breath of fresh air, shielding yourself from the 5G towers, vomiting, and/or drinking a beer. Luckily, they offer beer at the top! Why? Because of course they do! They also offer food in a few different settings (Austrian side vs German side, you'll see). If you're feeling super fit and looking for a challenge, you can climb to the top or to the bottom of the mountain using hiking gear. There's a way for visitors who took the easy way up to climb the last bit of the mountain to the apex for a sweet photo op, or you could, like, actually do all the work and grab a beer before you take a relaxing ride back down. During winter months this is obviously a hotspot (or cold spot) for skiing and winter sports. It is still very beautiful and awe-inducing to see this over the summer/fall, and still very cold. If you buy the all-inclusive pass from the ticket booth like my aunt and uncle did, you are given one round-trip ticket to the top of Zugspitze and back, then freedom to ride all of the other cable cars in the area and participate in some of the offered activities (like tobogganing). We met our tour guide Jon and 5 others joined the tour as well. The tour price included the fare on the lightrail and bus to get to Dachau. It was really nice to not have to worry about the times and connections. Not that it would have been a huge deal, but when on vacation, I like to worry less about logistics. Jon was very knowledgeable and I am so glad that I did use InMunich Tours because it was nice to have someone talk about the key points of the Dachau Memorial. If you're ever in the area, I would check out this tour company because they are very professional and knowledgeable.

Shawn was off the dock and in the cool water first , watching over us as we dove into the lake . What a refreshing swim. The views are amazing! Lana had lots of great information on the way up and was quiet on the way back because a lot of people were sleeping on the way home. We got to drive on the autobahn and I saw lots of Porsches going at least 100 MPH. The castle was awesome, it is about a 30 minute tour and at the pickup spot you can grab a nice red brat. The have beer too. Definitely an awesome trip you should take and try to get Lana as your tour guide!

The meeting point was easy to find and transportation was prompt and comfortable for the full ~9-hour round trip. Lana was our guide and easily one of the best I've ever had--witty, funny, and packed with idiosyncratic Bavarian facts. She kept us engaged and entertained the entire time, even including some adult only material. On the bus, keep your eyes peeled for cows, alpacas, deer, and CATS roaming the countryside. The castle and Bavarian scenery are breathtaking on their own, but Lana's local-born energy and storytelling made the entire day unforgettable. Our only regret was that we didn't take the tour on the very first day we were in München. Ozzie did a wonderful job of taking us to places of interest, explaining the history and context of each location, and teaching us how to immerse ourselves into Bavarian culture. I've always known my ancestors were from Germany, but after taking Ozzie's tour I knew more specifically that they came from Bavaria. Back to Ozzie though, you can tell he loves his city and he loves Bavaria. You can't help but fall in love with his outlook on life and his city in the process. If I find out anyone is going to München, I will insist that their first activity is to call Ozzie and take a tour because it will make the rest of their trip that much more enjoyable.

Hop on/off…read more The route covers the main attractions (Marienplatz, Stachus, English Garden, Palace, BMW Museum) as well a good amount of ground-takes about 2 hours if one just stays on the Bus. Our upper level Bus seats were faded and had seen better days. The lower level seats had cushions and were in better shape. (Would imagine because the roof is open during warmer periods). Our Driver as well another Driver were helpful and gave us some good tips. Ear buds were provided for the tour/sights information with multiple language options. A good tour that covers much ground with the option to explore further.
