The place inside is old and dingy. I got a chai tea, and it tasted like a warm cup of milk. Little to no chai flavor. My fiancé got a cappuccino and said it was fine. One positive was that the barista was friendly. Overall, would not recommend. read more

My grandson and I were visiting Pocatello when we found this coffeehouse. It was delightful. The staff were all quite friendly, even the other customers were nice. The coffee and teas were tasty, as well as their yummies. I like my coffees/teas somewhat warmish, they were most accommodating. Smells bad. That beautiful coffee brewing smell that most coffee shops have is not here. Instead, as soon as you step inside, it smells like bleach and mustiness. Neon lights, yellow and red paint. Cheap plastic patio furniture outside. Dirty bathroom with something running down the walls. Store bought muffins in plastic wrap. Not inviting or comfortable. Depressing, stinky atmosphere. I tried a different flavor of Mocha everyone I went in here. All of them were fantastic and the girls who work the counter were awesome. The atmosphere was also a perfect spot to get my work done. Mocha Madness saved me when I was in Pocatello. You see, the whole week I was a bit sleepy as I just wasn't meeting my daily requirement of caffeine plus the altitude always makes me tired for at least 5 or 6 days. Once we hit Pocatello, I could finally make it through the day without taking a quick nap! Every time I came here, I had the Mayan Madness which you have to order quickly in 2012 before the world ends! It was just divine - espresso, chocolate, cinnamon and I think some almond milk? Not sure but it was divine and gave me the kick I needed to embrace the world! One day when we were here we went to another coffee shop and I ordered a similar drink and it was simply awful. I couldn't drink but a sip. We drove over here and I threw it out and got my Mayan Madness. Problem solved! Plus the vibe here is very friendly, laid back and comfortable. If I lived in Pocatello I might have to work here to afford the amount of coffee I would want to drink. To Mocha! To Madness! read more

This place has the best iced mocha I've ever had. They use gourmet chocolate milk that has fairy dust in it (speculation on the last part). We stopped here in the middle of a road trip from Los Angeles to Glacier National Park and spent the rest of our trip seeking out comparable creamy iced chocolatey goodness. Nothing has come close yet. My husband, a coffee snob, also really enjoyed their espresso and cold brewed coffee (toddy). Great, nice people too! read more

Well I have to admit my wife and I are addicts for the little small town coffee shops. Small town coffee shops that aren't a chain do you have so much flavor in terms of people a space to sit and have a drink, and often there are music venues as well. Mocha Madness is no exception it has a music venue. It was amazing to me to look down and see the cash register here and on the counter to the left was a soundboard. I'm thinking this guy is ready for music. The coffee is great they even stuck a few soft drinks I like that, and the stuff on the wall is fascinating be sure and look at it there is some interesting stuff there. I just tried out this pace and it was pretty nice. Ordered hot chocolate with mint (because I'll probably never drink coffee- can't stand the taste) and they did a terrific job on my drink. Had a seat, used the free WiFi for about 3 hours while completing online modules for my new job. Apparently I forgot to charge my laptop up, but no matter, they have conveniently placed outlets all over. I think the charge for the hot chocolate was a bit high considering I could buy a full gallon of milk for the same. But overall, a place I'd return to. read more

I love this place! Outside seating, unobtrusive staff, but most of all the coffee is fantastic. I had an iced caramel mocha breve, and it wasn't too sweet, and it didn't taste burnt! I was VERY pleased that my coffee was made so expertly, the only place that compares is my coffee haunt in IF. I really love how quiet this place is. It's usually very full, but everyone's always speaking in very hushed tones, reading, studying, perusing the internet. Okay, let me start by saying that I love coffee but because of an incident a few years back I'm very sensitive about it, usually I can only handle decaf and never anything with espresso. I walk in and my husband wants a coffee, he's needing coffee is more like it, so I'm standing in front of the menus and out of the corner of my eye I Reed's Dairy Milk in a description for a mocha.... It a mocha decadent I think, it has fudge and caramel, most important Reeds chocolate milk! Oh I have to have one.... I'm willing to pay the price, my stomach will get upset and I will end up with a migraine, but thats okay, I think it might've worth it. Fast forward, service was amazing, more important, the coffee was exceptional! It was just the right balance in sweet, creamy, thick, and tasteful. I enjoyed it to the last drop, to my amazement, no upset stomach or migraine! You cant go wrong with this coffee shop, if you hate the big chain coffee places then you need to go to Mocha Madness, you won't regret it. The prices are more than fare, take it from someone who buys Reed's milk, its great but expensive, if you factor that in the prices for a mocha are actually really reasonable. Remember in order to creat something amazing you have to start with high quality ingredients, and thats exactly what Mocha Madness does. I love kicking back on a rainy day with a stop at Mocha Madness. The atmosphere is warm and colorful, and the barista's are fun and caring. EXCELLENT coffee, I'm not from Pocatello but needed to kill a few hours while my fiancé was in meetings. I had the mocha lover (not sure if that is right) the amount of chocolate was just right, not too much, not too little. The girls behind the counter were a bit underwhelming for a coffee shop. There are plenty of plug ins for your laptop, a nice thing is that they password protect the WiFi so that it is for customers only. If you need to do work, this place is excellent, if you want to curl up in a comfy chair and read a book or want a bit of a vibe or pulse to your coffee shop, I'd try somewhere else. Only one type of furniture in the place, no drive thru window either. I'll try another location if i'm in town again, the coffee was good but everything else was just "meh". read more
