Now over twenty years later Calgary's first ISP still provides top notch service with accessible internet at an accessible rate. When I signed up for a year of service I had to visit their office to pick up the free modem rental. I was delighted when the receptionist called for someone to bring me the paperwork and was met with a polite representative that shook my hand. Followup phone calls have been equally pleasant and personable. Unlike call center drones the staff at Nucleus have a real relationship with their customers and treat them better than billing numbers. I really appreciate this seldom seen type of service in such a competitively priced market! The internet service in itself has been fast and ultra reliable. Their basic service is less expensive than Telus and Shaw!

I think one needs to be careful who they choose to work with - things like up-time of our tech, applications and software are important, but so is an effective working relationship, something the team at TWT is great at. I met Shawn Freeman and TWT Group about four years ago. Our needs aren't extensive - our company is a two man operation. TWT Group has treated us really well. Where some companies ignore their smallest customers, TWT Group has a way of making us feel like one of their biggest and most valued. Over the year's I've had the pleasure of meeting a number of their staff - all very personable and willing to solve my random problem. I really appreciate their willingness to find a solution. So yes, we're very happy with TWT Group and we confidently refer them to our own clients and connections. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them.

The acreage I live on has limited options for high speed internet: satellite, and Platinum…read moreCommunications. No DSL or cable is available. I've read a lot of bad reviews for the satellite services out there, typically due to them being massively oversold, and way slower than advertised. And while I go with Bell Satellite TV, and they DO offer satellite internet, they DON'T in all parts of the country (including mine). So that being said, I've gone with Platinum for several years now. In my area, Platinum is a wireless network that relies on line of sight between your house mounted dish, and one of their towers. I maybe was sceptical of this setup at first, but it's been surprisingly solid and reliable almost all the time. However.... as good as Platinum once was (and it was great), it too now seems to be massively oversold. I guess they can't say no to a sale, and because of that, the download speeds I'm getting are absolutely horrible. You can see the Speed test photo I uploaded for evidence of how bad it can be (.09 mbs). But rest assured, .25 mbs during prime time is about it. Sometimes I think I'm on dial up. And forget about streaming a movie! I download movies overnight for viewing the next day... Anyhow... Platinum was once good, and they may be good again if they can find a balance between sales, and network performance. In the mean time, I'm waiting for other options. Platinum: it's only a matter of time before better options take over, so figure it out, before you are obsolete.

Sales and all other numbers do not pick up either so I think that they may be close to closing if there are no employees that can answer a call. Corporate support (we are a corporate client) actually just rings, no VM no hold no nothing.

All they could say is that I should look at upgrading to a higher priced plan. I would like to be covered in the area you say I will be covered or say to the customer...we have crappy coverage even in the home area so expect roaming charges..... Part of the convo.... As per our coverage map however "The Freedom Mobile coverage area is an approximation of the actual wireless service available and is subject to change. The quality of voice and data service while within Freedom Mobile's 'Home' and 'Variable' network coverage area may vary when indoors and due to terrain, foliage, device capabilities, technical capacity, or weather conditions. Freedom Mobile cannot guarantee service availability." https://www.freedommobile.ca/network-and-coverage/coverage We cannot guarantee that your plan will not have away charges if you do not have full away coverage in the plan, the pay-per-usage of your data is valid and we don't provide credit for that. We have in-market plans that are similar costs monthly that have more data and included Away data, we would recommend to consider the plan change if you are unhappy with the pay-per-use costs of the National away data. -S.C I expect coverage in my home area period. They always try to oversell on accessories for the new phone you were forced to buy that you did not need or want. Then, the plans, where does it end? It's an evil necessity; nothing like the experience I've had with Virgin Mobile, T-mobile, 3, Comviq in Europe which are more pay-as-you-go friendly (with great flexible, inexpensive plans). That in mind, I recently visited the Chinook Centre location of Virgin Mobile (which runs on the Bell GSM Network in Canada as opposed to the Sprint CDMA Network in the US) to inquire about a plan for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition SM-P605 Phablet. As it is, I use ROGERS voice/data, etc. for my Note 3 SM-N9005 since it's a corporate account but I was looking to have another account with a non-ROGERS provider to allow maximum coverage when I travel throughout Canada. The representative recommended just using a data plan to augment the corporate account since I can still use Skype or other voip apps on my devices. He was very thorough in explaining the month-to-month plan and it's tiered cost. The process took less than 10 minutes. Within 10 minutes of that, I had service on my phablet. It's almost like Virgin Mobile think it's not in North America or something. The experience is similar to what I receive in Europe. I'm not sure if we are allowed to mention specific people but the male representative whose name starts with an M is very knowledge and friendly. Is that TMI? OMG, LOL. Sorry, I was texting when I typing this review. You can visit this stores site information, http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/support/find-a-store.html?V=on&itcid=NAV:69
