I kept resisting and telling her I wasn't comfortable with it but she just about rolled her eyes and said everyone can do it and kept trying to convince me to do a headstand. I have issues with vertigo and don't have good balance even just standing on my feet, so being on my head for the first time in a new surrounding when I came just to stretch for a gentle yoga class was not at all what I had signed up for. Pretty disappointed all around and was shocked based on all the good reviews they got. Maybe I was just there on an off day, but I definitely did not feel any sort of connection or eagerness to return.

The retreat was filled with great classes and outings. Wendy really pushes her students and retreat attendees in remarkable ways that build strength, flexibility, and over health and well being, but still is very chill, relaxed and fun setting. Its inspiring to see someone so dedicated to the yoga lifestyle. I hope to stay in touch with Wendy and Julius in the future to attend a yoga retreat. I don't often write reviews but totally recommend. Julius and Wendy make a excellent team to say the least and are very sweet people. To bad they live in Florida I think I would become a real regular at her studio.

They offer a free foundations class to teach you the moves and lingo and introduce you to the pure barre family. I was extremely happy I signed up for this class for two main reasons. 1- it seriously helps you learn the lingo and form you will be using in every class. This is where I met Holly, an instructor and manager who was so welcoming and friendly. That leads me to number 2. This class gave me the courage to come back. I want to make it clear this is a great workout. They will push you to your limits and you will feel great afterwards. But this class and Holly made me feel encouraged, welcomed and enough which is what I feared for so long. This is what you get when you come to this studio. I came back for my second class called classic which is 50 minutes of pure work!! I am still learning the form, still getting used to it and that's ok. I give it my best, my instructor Kayla was awesome and gave me tips throughout and then followed up with me after class. If you are in a similar situation to this post, try this class!! You will not regret. My favorite part is that the moves are low impact and high intensity so anyone of any fitness level or age can take this class! The studio is clean, large and offers retail too! They have an awesome app to schedule classes, set goals and keep track of your progress. They have ample class times to fit anyone's schedule and a variety of packages ranging from individuals classes, class packs or unlimited to for your needs and budget. This is an investment for your mind, body and soul which is so worth it!

You can do so easily on their app. But keep in mind they do charge for cancellation less than 12 hours on top of that. Motivation right there! They don't like you being late, so if you can plan on being a little early. I personally like the Center & Balance, Reformer Flow, and Restore classes. Wish they had more of the Restore classes as that class gets packed and can sometimes be hard to get in.

I…read moredidn't really know what to expect, but the trainer, Chris, quickly explained how the class would proceed, gave us a demo of the rowing machines, and showed us how to properly use the TRX ropes. The workout was very low impact, which was a nice change from all the crazy stuff you find out there these days. My fiancé, friend, and I all still worked up a decent sweat. It was definitely beginner friendly, but the exercises could easily be adjusted for higher difficulty. Exercises included rows, squats, pull-ups, and lunges with the TRX ropes, dumbbell chest presses, bicycle kicks, planks, and rowing. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. Chris was very enthusiastic and helpful, constantly moving around the gym to make sure everyone had good form. It seems like he has amassed a regular crowd, which says a lot about him as a trainer. I would definitely go to Soul Rooster again, especially if I'm in the need for something low impact with variety to stave off the boredom that so often goes hand in hand with working out.

(Or a location near you) I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool "gym rat", at the gym at 5:30am when they opened, doing the same thing 5 days every week for years (yawn). No wonder I got bored! But with Karen (the owner/instructor) and the other instructors at Jazzercise, it's always fresh, because everyone's personalty is different. So each one has something unique to bring to each class, keeping it upbeat and fun. We work out, we sweat, we laugh, and we leave feeling energized.
