The maintenance crew has been working nonstop and making this place look great. They have new carts with GPS because the old carts were garbage! So happy to ride in a cart that is not rattling all over. This course is always full, so beware if you want to get a quick round in, this location is not for you. It doesn't help that it is now Snowbird season, you will have to wait until end of March or early April to find some relief for the golfing season. The cart girl was driving around to provide drinks and snacks. I will be back to play again soon!

The course is not in great shape and have to say I will not be returning any time soon to play here. There are many better options to play golf in the local area and will wait for the fairways as well as the greens to be recover before trying to play here again. I will say that the staff I encountered were great. Some pros and cons. Pros: Convenient location, easy access with plenty of parking. The staff here were very friendly, when I walked inside to the proshop the staff member was joking with me once I entered, the starter happened to be inside as well and told me to go out to the first tee box when all of my group arrived. So we did get to go out a little earlier than our tee time. The practice areas is good, putting green has adequate room for several golfers . Driving range is an aquatic range so you get to hit into the water and will accommodate quite a few golfers. The golf carts are very clean and comfortable to ride in. The beverage cart was out, and we saw it several time during our round. Thanks for being there for us! Cons: Carts do not have GPS. The Tee boxes are in fairly bad shape, lots of dirt and not much grass The greens have been aerated so they are in rough condition, bumpy with so much sand on them. Some of the green and layers of sand, not just a dusting. The green also have weeds growing on them too. Have to say these are the worst green I have encountered this season. The fairways are brown and have very little grass on many of the holes throughout this course.

The pros: the outdoor landscaping is pretty, the restaurant is awesome, and the room was huge and it was very nice to be able to not feel cramped in a small hotel room. The cons: once I got into my room I noticed it seemed dirty, the desks had dust on them I had to wipe down and the mirrors were dirty too. The light switches are old so I spent a while trying to get the bathroom lights to turn on, you have to be pretty aggressive to switch on and off. I get rooms being old and need to be updated sure but they were not clean and needed basic repairs. Disappointing for 260 a night. As my stay went on I noticed a hole in the window, the toilet didn't flush properly and would run for hours, a large chip out of the countertop, no hairdryer. Musty smell. No room service came to our room. There was a wasps nest on our balcony and (once I discovered that I couldn't use the balcony, the front desk asked if I was planning to use it, I told them I guess I don't have to, although I wanted to as it would have been nice in the mornings). So of course I didn't but when I was leaving to top it off there was a wasp in our room, so probably came through the holes in the walls. Honestly- it gave me schitts creek vibes. Disappointing as the other reviews have also called them out for being not kept up with from what I see the last few years. I didn't have a choice but I'd highly recommend going to a holiday inn or mid range hotel up the road. It is much cleaner and nicer.

The restaurant was empty on a Thursday night. We were the only ones in there (around 6:30pm) for the first 30 mins or so. We sat outside and it was nice and cool but screened so no bugs. Our server was really sweet and attentive, even getting my son some highlighters to color with. My mom and I split the Caesar salad and Cuban sandwich. My son got the cheese pizza. All of the food was very good. The only downside is my mom got food poisoning from here!! We shared the same meal, but I believe the sandwich halves were prepared separately and hers was tainted. Within 2 hours she was very ill, typical food poisoning symptoms. I'm still giving this 4 stars because I believe it was a fluke (or hope so) and pray it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Over the past decade I've played here numerous times and rarely been disappointed. However, the past two visits have been wildly disappointing and even infuriating. The disappointing part has been the upkeep of the course. I played the course in December and again this week and the greens are in very rough shape. They are patchy with seed speckled throughout. I realize it's been dry but several other nearby courses are keeping their greens well managed. The infuriating part was the pompous and belligerently rude ranger. The guy was a total jerk and everyone in my group (a group of guys I didn't know before the round) spoke to his demeaning behavior. I'm certainly no cupcake and the fellas I was playing with were physicians and a business owner, so I doubt they are either. We simply expected to be treated with respect. If you want a nice course just swing over to TPC or Dunedin, or save some cash and play Crescent Oaks right around the corner.
