The clubhouse is huge (80,000 SF) and sits on a hill that provides views rarely seen in Florida. This is an upscale residential development that opened just before the recession. There are not many homes on the course although building has recently resumed. The natural setting is very enjoyable to one living in an urban environment. We saw a flock of 15 wild turkey hens on the back nine. Complimentary range balls are included. The 19th hole has an outdoor deck with expansive view of the course. Good overall experience.

It is about 5 miles from there. It is a Pete Dye course and is rated by Golf Week as one of the top 100 residential courses in the US. It has. 20,000 sf clubhouse perched on a hill with expansive views of the course. The course has elevation changes of 200 feet and a driving range always stocked with balls. If you have an Exec Golf card you can get a good discount.

They charge $25 for 9 holes to play on their terrible non maintained course. They will be going out of business soon because no one will pay that crazy price when other nicer courses are cheaper.

We groaned as at most places buffet food is always dry or undercooked. Yet somehow Silverthorn managed to perfect their Lasagna & Shrimp Scampi. They were moist & flavorful. I do have to say the Chicken Parmesan was a little dry, but we can ignore that as it was still delicious. There was a fresh mixed salad and a fresh pasta salad. Both were served with a dressing that did not over power & did not make the salads soggy. Both salads were delicious. The rolls at the buffet were very good & served warm. We asked the server Caleb for butter & he delivered by bringing out a bowl of individually wrapped pats of butter & placed it at the buffet table with the rolls. Caleb was a rock star as he accommodated everyone's questions & needs. He was always smiling, friendly & all around pleasant. We are looking forward to the next event.

I had a cup of coffee, which was delicious and only needed a couple of Splenda's. That means it was a great coffee and my dessert was delicious. The whole bill came to only $22.31 before tip. I have to find out if it's open to the general public. You will have to call on your own earlier in the day to find out. Nobody picked up when I called. Well I did call back and I got through to the golf shop and I have a little sad news for you, you cannot eat there unless someone that lives there invites you or you are there for a special occasion like we were. We bought our home fortunately before prices skyrocketed, and have made modifications in the time we've been residing here. The community has a great golf course (enjoyed by my new golfer husband) and a large clubhouse with full restaurant and bar, recently renovated in 2021. Staff in office and restaurant are the best and always friendly, remembering you when we visit. Activities keep our schedules full, and regular shows entertained and happy. Grounds are extremely well manicured, making us feel we live in paradise.
