Thank God these emergency clinics are open 24/7 because they were able to see her and admit her into their hospital. When I called the emergency number I was answered right away by a very kind person who listened and responded to my frantic questions. The staff was very calm and reassuring knowing that this is my baby. Once we got there the long wait began. I was there for about 4 hours, including an hour in the waiting room, before I was sent home without my pet. The male doctor who came to talk to me promised to send pictures of my puppy receiving treatment throughout the night and next day to reassure me but never did it. I'm a worried mess and calling to check on her is a challenge, I was on hold for over 20 minutes before I could talk to a live human. The building itself is very clean and cold! Bring a sweater if you are going to be here for a while. Every room I saw had a wash station and the staff was very accommodating by providing absorbent pads for my bleeding pup. At this time we are still waiting to see how she will do. She lost a lot of blood supposedly due to pancreatitis. Emergency care is extremely expensive so I advise getting pet insurance before your pet gets sick or injured. They do take Care Credit to help pay for costly treatments.

I'm very grateful that my cat, Beau, is okay, and I want to be clear that the veterinarian who…read moretreated him was kind, professional, communicative, and took the situation seriously. The medical care itself was good. Unfortunately, the customer experience was not. I brought Beau in after witnessing him swallow hair ties, and I was terrified he might have an intestinal obstruction or need surgery. While I was sitting in the room crying and waiting for answers, a staff member came in to discuss pricing in a way that felt extremely cold and transactional, with almost no acknowledgment of what was happening or the fact that I was visibly distressed. I later specifically asked the front desk that this staff member not be sent back into the room. That request was ignored. She returned to address my complaint directly and told me, essentially, that this was "just her personality." In an already stressful emergency, that made the situation significantly worse. The veterinarian handled my concerns appropriately and apologized, which I appreciated. But emergency veterinary care requires more than competent medical treatment. People are often walking through the door scared, upset, and worried that they may lose a member of their family. Basic compassion matters. I'm thankful Beau is safe, but I left deeply disappointed in how I was treated. If you have another emergency veterinary option nearby, I would seriously consider it to avoid having a similar experience.

We took our 5-month old F1 Goldendoodle, for what we thought was a severe reaction to insect bites & chronic ear infection. Our baby had been taking antiobiotics and benadryl prescribed by his old clinic for a week now but was not showing any improvement. When we arrived to Winter Springs Veterinary Clinic (we called to make a next-day appointment), we were greeted very professionally and were asked to wait in a small, but clean and welcoming sitting area. After a short wait (just 5 minutes later), we were taken to the exam room and were attended by Dr. Jennifer Dempsey and her vet assistant. Oh my, such sweet, kind and professional staff! Dr. Dempsey examined our pup with love and care and was quickly able to determine that he had 'Puppy Strangles', which is relatively rare condition, but more common in Golden Retrievers as well as Goldendoodle puppies. She told us that the antibiotics he was taking wouldn't work by itself; that he needed a more aggressive treatment involving steroids (Prednisone). The whole visit winded up costing an affordable $180, compared to our old clinic who average $300-500 per treatment/visit. So far our puppy has been showing noticeable signs of improvement after just 1 day of treatment and we are so excited about it! Thank you Dr. Dempsey! We will definitely be coming back here; hopefully for the long-haul!

They go above and beyond to make both pets (and pet parents) comfortable. While a flower delivery and sympathy card weren't on our mind from the vet, that's just a single example of the thought that is behind everything they do. They truly are a class act and perfect example of compassionate service in Orlando. I send all of my friends here when they're in the market for a new vet. Not only are the doctors kind and thorough, but the techs and front desk staff are what really make the difference. They get to know you and your pet and are always rooting for your furry companions. I fully believe they are a large reason why my girls have lived so long - they do routine bloodwork and have caught so many underlying issues throughout the last 6 years between the 2 of our girls (high blood pressure, hyperthyroid, all the things you don't think of for a cat). We've shed a lot of tears in Garden Vet recently, and I want to thank the whole team for taking such good care of Darla and us. Grief is not linear, and can be absolutely overwhelming. We're still healing, but we know Darla was in the best hands.
