Gas prices were good & it was good to have so many pumps for easy entry & exit. The traffic circle (roundabout) also makes traffic flow well. On my return to the long trip, I stopped here for the restrooms & top off the gas. The restrooms were less than ideal this time. Literally, there was POOP on the floor of the first stall I opened. The next stall was poopless, but still a mess. I didn't wait for the popcorn again. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. Topped off the gas & headed on down I55. I originally stopped here bc of all the comparisons to Buc-ee's. Not even close. Buc-ee's restrooms are impeccably clean with a dedicated employee ensuring that is the case. Indicator LIGHTS (red/green) above and "vacant/occupied" indicators on the doors. There is no peeking or knocking to see if something is open. Not the case at Wally's. Gas situation is similar to Buc-ee's. Easy in & out & fair prices. Wally's gets the extra star here by providing washer wiper squeegees to scrub off the dead bugs from the road trip. Overall, not super impressed & definitely disgusted by the restroom situation. Would probably go to a different exit for a better road trip stop experience next time. If the shop is busy, because they provide custom, high quality service, it is worth it! Money is less important than operating safe equipment, and we all know that, deep in our guts. Dude, this shop is crazy outstanding. I adore shops that don't treat me like a little girl. (Yeah I know. I am little, and a girl, but still! ) The dude who worked on my trailer did such a magnificent job, he had me there right beside him, no kidding 'helping', making my trailer fixed way, way beyond levels I thought possible. The women's bathroom too, is shockingly beautiful. What. The. Heck. Its a women's bathroom, in a truck stop. Just wow! Ty TA! Whoever your designer is, hug them on behalf of the 12% of female CDL holders in the country! Trust me. Its beautified to an unreasonable extent, yeah, I have no idea why. I'm used to hard core industrial toilet rooms, this was literally shocking. If you're a male trucker, don't be creepy and peek, just trust me. Probably yours is nice as well, so post about it here!

strangest experience I've ever had at a gas station. on a road trip from Nebraska to Indiana,…read morestopped here as the Love's turned out to be for trucks only. was met with a lot of caginess and almost aggression when asking where the restroom was. they explained they haven't been giving out the key because they've had issues with unhoused people making a mess. that makes sense to me to lock it up, but as a customer purchasing fuel and based on my fresh clothing and appearance, i figured the suspicion and ... weirdness?? to be unwarranted. the women's restroom was very clean. my husband said the men's had no soap but otherwise was ok. as we were leaving and trading the car key between us so our driver could use the restroom, the same weirdly aggressive lady approached us asking if there was a problem. uhhh... no? anyway, I've never felt so uncomfortable in a gas station in my life.
