Initially, I brought my car there to get a diagnostic which it was determined my car essentially needed new brakes, rooters, hubs, etc. (you name it). My car is an 07 Camry, so I understood why the fixes were necessary. The issue came came afterwards, when it was shown that I needed to have repairs to the repairs they had made after I brought my car back for timing belt issues (which they did not diagnose initially). I brought the car back to get the timing belt issue resolved because the car continued to make loud screeching noises when I accelerated. After the timing belt was fixed, my car ran ok for another week then the starter and the battery went out on the car. I brought it back here after spending $8 over the matter of a three month period- they charged me for a diagnostic and told me I needed a new battery and starter now. I felt it ridiculous to have to pay for another diagnostic after spending thousands at this location in such a short window (mind you, this was summer 2025). The police was called and I still ended up paying for the diagnostic. About a week ago, I heard the screeching sound and my wheel is starting to vibrate rapidly again as I'm breaking which indicates the timing belt is still not properly repaired. When I called them back to look at the work they did on my car considering I am having timing belt issues again, they gave me a number to call and said I could not bring my car back to them. Y'all be careful and mindful of who you allow to work on your cars, not all business believe in integrity and customer satisfaction-this car repair shop is all about getting your money. I would stay far away from them!!!!!

Best to call or get there first thing in the AM and Melvin & Kurt will absolutely do their best to get you in as he can with the jobs they've already committed to. He runs the shop, works the cars AND also answers the phone, so don't be discouraged if it rings for a minute or you have to call back, he's only one guy! My check engine light was on, and given my high mileage I knew my truck was due for a replacement part or two. About 2.5 hours after I dropped the truck off I got a call from the guys who asked me to stop by the shop when I had a minute BEFORE they started any work on the truck. After I arrived, Tim took me back for a look at the my truck and walked me through the litany of issues my truck was likely to encounter in the next few months. Long story short, he helped me decide whether I should invest the money for all the necessary repairs, or cut bait and trade it in while it still held some value and use the unspent repair money toward a down payment. I decided on the latter, and afterwards the guys also gave me some tips on how new car shopping could be made easier, and which vehicles are good long term investments. This experience went a long way. Not only did it help me make the right financial decision, but I now also know I have a reliable, family-owned mechanic that I can trust with my auto issues in the future. Between the dealership, Allen's, and DIY on very basic level items I must've saved at least 1k for the same quality and level of work needed to keep my car safe. I appreciate them pointing out what needed to be done tho, cut time troubleshooting for the other shops. I'd only recommend this shop if you as a customer are keen about sticking to one shop and are ok with paying dealership prices. They're very upfront about it being a premium price point. They did not like that I chose to go with other businesses after the safety inspection I initially had.

Towed car there around 7am, got a call around 9am with the diagnostic and very reasonable cost, luckily it wasn't major, and I gave the go ahead. They called around 2pm and told me it's done. They also noted me there might be a battery issue, but charged it up and it had been starting since, so didn't replace it (aka didn't replace unnecessary parts to increase my bill). Unfortunately when I went to pick the car up an hour later, the battery had lost its charge and it didn't start, but within 30 minutes (on a Friday afternoon), they had sourced a new battery. I witnessed them calling around to get me the best price, they picked the battery up and installed it and I was out the door. Bonus they didn't charge me for the battery install since I had paid for the battery charge up that didn't end up working. Very fair, honest, knowledgeable and reasonable-- checks all the boxes for me!
