Recommendation from my experiences no I would not refer nor recommend. I was recommended by several to go to Mobile East Marine. First off, build trust do what you say you are gonna do. Scheduling rated 0/10. Says they will get to my boat in 2 weeks then it still sits on multiple occasions [x that by more times than it should have been]. The latest was when asked when they could get back on it they were 3 weeks out. So in 2.5 weeks I stop by oh I am 2 to 4 weeks out. Wait a minute you were 3 weeks out 2.5 weeks ago. Oh I need to put you on my schedule. [Why am I not there already]. Communication forget about it. Rated 0/10. Only called me a handful of times in my near year episode and would rarely acknowledge emails. Boat still ain't right. He says I'm not gonna call you every week and update you how abt. any at all. Biggest thing I found was if your not one of the "chosen" you can forget it. Well I have chosen to forget it as well. The worst thing about it all, aside from it still not being fixed, is the parts could have been ordered in early December when I drove 4 hours from Durham to give my blessings instead it was end of January. Of course supply chain issues is beyond your control but more things were within Mobile East control than were not. Oh yeah they "worked hard for me." Well guess what had I not inquired very early on abt financial assistance I wouldn't have saved $7000 or more. So because I "went behind your back" and contacted Yamaha, doing your job that you worked so hard on, I am very glad I did. Expertise/service 3/10. Your service is only as good as your word, organization and communication as far as I am concerned. And the boat still aint right so a big no go on experience. Experience could have fixed it. When I recently stopped his suggestion was we can re-prop. Re-prop is not fixing the problem. The problem is I am at 5100rpm v. Normal around 6000rpm with a speed of 41 to 43 mph. For 4.5 years the boat ran 47 to 48 mph. I could go on and on they would say they worked hard for me but avoid unless your a veteran of said business. read more
